The Wizard of Oz line expanded based on it's massive launch in 1975
Mego's gala event to launch the line at '75 Toyfair is still talked about to this day in the toy industry.
Mego pursued the line due to the movies high TV ratings and actually named Mervyn Leroy (The film's Producer) to their board of directors.
