I was thinking of Black Panther, too. Surfer would appeal to Mego cost-wise.
A Super-Skrull would be terrific and could utilize already-printed Thing and Human Torch fabrics. Hmmm.........
Annihilus is a favorite of mine but very detailed.

The Fantastic Four makes assortments interesting to consider. My first thought was that they would be one set. But, perhaps the FF will be split amongst sets--for example, Reed and Johnny in one set, and Sue and Ben in another. This would drive overall sales instead of cherry-picking.
That would leave two spots in each set for other characters, so who? Dr. Doom is almost a certainty, it's been discussed for decades--and Mego could reuse the boot and glove molds from Iron Man for Doom.
Sub-Mariner would fit in with FF characters. I assume FF would be a later set(s).
I'd certainly like a classic jumpsuited Red Skull--I figure he might be released with the Captain America reproduction. Along with Falcon?

I’m guessing the next wave won’t be the Fantastic Four, for the simple reason they probably want at least one supervillain in the set.
I would personally like to see the next set include Captain America, Black Panther, Thor and Iron Man, if one of the heroes has to be substituted for a villain, then I think the Red Skull would be a good choice.
or continue the Spider-Man wave, and give us Alter-Ego Peter Parker (with camera) The Vulture, Dr. Octopus and Venom.
But to be honest, I would like to see some of the Avengers included in next wave.

Hope it’s not a double post…
I caved and bought a set for $140US +shipping to Canada. It might be one of my last purchases, I’m feeling exclusives fatigue. If the next set is FF w/ new bodied Thing and Sue, maybe.Leave a comment:

Happy to report my set came in yesterday. I haven't had a chance to open it, but it looks fantastic. Great job to everyone at Mego who worked on it. I know Andrew Covalt sculpted the Electro head and the bonus Spidey coin, and they look wonderful. I plan on freeing Electro and keeping the other three in their boxes on display, since I have nice original copies of each. I will probalby put the outer box with the back facing out behind my Marvel Megos.Leave a comment:

There are still a lot of folks who didn't get and aren't going to get a set of these. I don't think people should be expected to contact a buyer and pay a premium to get something like this, or go to ebay and pay even more. It makes no financial sense for Disney or Mego, even, as they aren't making any additional money this way. These kinks need to be worked out for sure.
I wonder what kind of longterm damage is done when stuff like this happens. The amount of people I've seen who've paid a rather significant upcharge to get these through the Disney shoppers is a good sign for the demand for these, but also is a strike against their availability and general amount that people are willing to pay. They're priced pretty fair (especially with coupons) but if you can't actually obtain them at that price but actually have to pay nearly twice that to actually get them... It's not a sustainable model long term.
It will eventually probably be rectified, but again, I do wonder if there won't be some damage done if for no other reason that having these be available on Disney's online store over the holidays, etc would have potentially grown the line, certainly beyond the fanbase of people willing to pay a markup to have personal shoppers buy them.Leave a comment:

Just to close out - the set arrived today and it’s pretty cool, of course. But if the powers that be are reading this, while I appreciate the chase as much as the next collector, I hope the future sets are not this stress filled…..Leave a comment:

Just got my email that my Mego Marvel set has shipped! I was starting to wonder!Leave a comment:

I got my order and I am already anxious about the next round too. Maybe some adjustments will be made after this first round, now that they see the demand (if the demand remains, after so many people missed out on this first set). But I realize how lucky I was to add to my cart, enter the coupon code, select payment, checkout and not have it all for naught.Leave a comment:

It's really weird how they are processing these. We all ordered on the same day, yet some have already received these, and others like me haven't even gotten an email and it says they are due to arrive on the 30th.
Of course, I shouldn't complain, because at least, as of right now, I am still supposedly getting a set, which many folks unfortunately weren't able to, despite their best efforts.
