So, these Disney-Marvel figures...

Chiming in very late to say that:

• I'll riot if we don't get the core 5;
• It would be rude if we don't get Black Widow and Hawkeye;
• Life without Vision and Scarlet Witch would be bleak, especially because they're the MCU's Ken and Barbie;
• It feels nearly unimaginable that they would skip over Doom and Black Panther;
• Some reasonable wildcards for the final slot are Loki, Strange and Fury.

...if, of course, the sets remain both cohesive as well as staying in line with my personal pouch of associative druthers.

Hoping that, if they step into the Murdockverse or the X-people, etc, those are separate projects completely.


The fantasy list is, of course, untamable.

Honestly, I really don't want another Spidey set. I'd tolerate a black/red/web-armed version if they'd include Dr. Octopus, but there're so many other, better choices considering the limited number of figures planned.

I'm pretty much resigned to the fact that we likely won't get Red Skull. *sigh*

I agree about not wanting another Spider-man set, but I would like to see a villains Spidey set released, Dr. Doom, Doc Ock, Vulture and Venom. Dr. Doom would also be good for the Fantastic Four.

Maybe will see a set by spring 26? with the next Spidey movie coming out in the summer, or the set released after the movie hits the cinemas. Either way I’m not holding my breath, when it happens it happens.

Here’s hoping for at least two sets in 2026.

I would find it hard to beleive that they would hold off untrill next December ( Doomsday movie release) for another release of a 4 pack. A new Spider-Man film is coming out next summer. Maybe another Spidey set ? The hulk is in the movie from what I hear... Mysterio was in the ast movie as was the Vulture. Venom has 3 movies... Disney does not have the movie rights to the Hulk and Spider-man movies but they do on the toys.

I could see a filler set for the coming Spidey movie... and a second one for the Avenger movie in Dec.

Hmm, good call, Frenchy. I keep forgetting about the next Spidey movie. Punisher is in it, as well as Hulk. Also, the gal who plays Max in Stranger Things was cast as a villain, so maybe we will see a set to tie in to the Spidey film, and then we’ll get the Avengers set.

I’m still holding out hope for a last minute announcement for the next set. Otherwise, one set out of a planned/promised four… That ain’t too great.

Forgive this post, but I’m bored. I just posted this on a Facebook page in response to someone asking about what to expect next from Disney. Here’s what I wrote.

It’s a bit tricky, not knowing what new characters MEGO will be making. I personally think that only characters who had been created and appeared in comics by the time that MEGO’s WGSH had finished should be included. So that eliminates any character from after the early ‘80s.

You know we’ll see the remaining five Marvel MEGOs: Thor, Hulk, Iron Man, Cap, and Falcon. So that leaves 7 slots.

Doctor Doom and Loki should get the villain treatment.

That’s five left. We’ll probably see Wolverine, Daredevil, Black Panther, Black Widow, and maybe another X-person. Storm or Cyclops, perhaps?

I’d personally love to see Iron Fist (if ever there was a character that screamed ‘70s Marvel, it’s Iron Fist), Rich Ryder Nova, Classic Captain Britain with Star Scepter, Loki, Abomination, and Black Knight.

Oh yeah: As a kid, I wanted Hercules and Hawkeye as MEGOs. I wanted Herc to have one hand in a closed fist, like the Lizard, so that he could “punch” as well as hold his golden mace accessory.

While they’d be cool, I’d rather see Namor with his black, winged costume and his trident. That’s quintessential ‘70s Marvel as well.

I know the waiting game is aggravating, we want to see something now, it’s understandable. I don’t mind waiting as long as when the time comes for a release, we all get to see at least one or two new characters we were hoping for and buying these sets is not like pulling teeth and enough are made for all those who want them.

The Marvel stuff is managed by Disney, so they will advise us.

Mego should do the same for the rest of the figures. Let us know when ? 4 months, 5 months 6,7.8 ???

So much for all 5 sets being out by the end of 2025.
