The shopper had gone on vacation, and ended up being very backlogged with packages. I sent them another message, and they responded right back apologizing for the delay. They were basically sold out of the Fantastic Four sets and were waiting on another shipment to arrive at the Disney Store in California. However, they still did have two sets that had minor damage/shelf wear to the outer blue packaging and that other collectors didn't want, and asked if I was interested in one of those. They sent pics of both and I after seeing them, I determined that they weren't actually in too bad of condition, so I decided to go with one of them. The lady I was dealing with was very pleasant and shipped out my set the same day. It's scheduled to arrive in a couple of days.
Through some digging around, I learned that a lot of other people (including some people here in the industry) actually had to go to them and other Personal Shoppers because of the Disney Store fiasco. I'm not sure whether they still have that other set with the shelf wear, or when they'll be able to pick up more, but you can reach out to them, and I would recommend them.

Holly cheese... You got one before me and I had ordered one from a Personal shopper 2 weeks prior of online release !
She told me that the figures sold out and she did not get enough to fufill all her orders and I am on a waiting list.
Really starting to hate this Disney Marvel system.Leave a comment:

I’m guessing the one I suggested here:
Hi everyone. My order for the Fantastic Four set was unfortunately canceled late last night by the Disney Store and now I'm looking for non eBay, non-scalper options to obtain a set. It was suggested I enlist the services of a Disney Shopper. Can anyone please tell me how how I go about that, and to please recommend one that is
I also purchased a set though them (Lost Boys Treasures - Disney Personal Shopper) for $125 + shipping.Leave a comment:

So, I was recently able to secure a set through a Disney Personal Shopper for $125 USD ($170 CDN), plus shipping. Should be delivered in a few days. The personal shopper only uses UPS for international orders, so I paid about $38 USD (Nearly $52 CDN) for standard shipping to Canada. Now, the bad news is that in addition to the currency exchange rate that does not favour Canadians, I woke up today to the news that I'll have to pay nearly $64 CDN for customs charges and UPS's 'Brokerage Fees.' I will say that the personal shopper was very pleasant to deal with and shipped out my package the same day, so I have nothing but good things to say about her. But at the end of the day, I am paying around three times what a collector in the US has to pay for this set.

I also learned today that the figures are now available for pre-order on the Disney EU site, but won't be available for shipment until October. After examining the situation - releasing this set in the morning in middle of the week when people have to work, and selling out so quickly (even with the limit of one per customer, and despite a higher production run) - it's my theory that Disney allotted FEWER Fantastic Four figures for the US website than the initial Spider-Man set, in order to to accommodate for the Disney Parks stores and the European website release. Perhaps Disney was hoping far fewer people would order from the US website? Who knows? But however you look at it, it's pretty bad that people are forced to resort to these measures and costs to obtain these figures.Leave a comment:

I looked at the EU site, my checkout bag says it doesn’t ship to Canada. I only used guest checkout., it also says October shipment.Leave a comment:

Is there some new info out there? Are people whose orders are still unfilled/in progress getting some additional info such as fulfillment or shipping dates?Leave a comment:

I'm happy to be able to say that I now have a Fantastic Four set! I had tried on the day they were released, had one in my basket, but they sold out while I was in the process of checking out. So when I submitted my order, a "Sorry, your order can't be processed" message came up. Very frustrating.
Fortunately, I'm in Southern California for Comic Con, and was able to make a trip to the Avenger's Reserve in Downtown Disney, where they had plenty sitting on the shelves. So, a set is now in my possession. Finally!

I think, too, that the absence of a new figure--like Dr. Doom or Sub-Mariner--dulled excitement.Leave a comment:

Is it me or is there less Hype about the FF set compared to the Spidey set ?Leave a comment:

I don't mind something being exclusive to a store or a website but make enough, or equal quantities to national releases, of them for all of the fans.
Exclusive quantity is a killer.
And enough is enough with all the repaint variants!
