I sometimes check ebay for custom megos and clothing, and I have seen in the recent past the FF dark blue/back costumes maybe Brian Leitner but not sure.

And not to be “that guy”, but those costumes weren’t actually dark blue and white, but BLACK and white.
Back in the primitive four-color printing days, dark blue was used as a substitute for black in a lot of cases so that they didn’t end up with a solid black silhouette for some of the characters whose costumes were meant to be black, like Black Panther, Punisher, etc.
Jean Grey (in her return from FF #286) even refers to the the FF’s new costumes as black.
Yeah, I know Byrne intended them to be black. Just like Bob Kane and Bill Finger intended Batman's blue elements to be black. And Ditko intended Spider-Man's blue elements to be black. Most figures have interpreted the costumes as dark or even light blue, right or wrong.

Let's just forget this costume bit, since the Mego figures are in the classic blue and blacks.

Nice lineup, and it would be neat to see an assortment of all-new/never done before characters.

Black Bolt would be cool, too. He’s got a MEGO look to him.

I like the FF as characters, but I think I will pass on them as Mego toys. I'm not a completest, and gearing up for the Disney website battle is not interesting me this round.

I have some coupons from Disney customer support that I think I will save for whatever line the Hulk comes in, and give it a shot, then.

In my defense, the Byrne change happened in FF 256. (July 1983), on sale April 1983. Right around the time Mego was going bankrupt. So not too far after the Mego period. But since Mego just did straight repros, none of this matters.

And Chris, much as I respect you, the Byrne idea is terrible. That's not Mego, and bad enough that it was applied to the "retro-Kenner" FF.

Looks like the Thing has a poseable waist? Yowza.
