I was thrilled when I made my presale purchase, but that thrill quickly subsided once the news started trickling in that many fans were getting their orders cancelled, one after the other.

The disappointment of my Mego Brothers and Sisters left me feeling awful about the situation and I wasn't able to enjoy and celebrate my purchase once the shipping notification came. Then, my package delivery stalled for a week and a half in Pennsylvania, and I thought for sure that it was "gone for good". It finally showed up a few days ago, and I still haven't even opened up the box yet. I'll be opening it this weekend because 1 set is a gift for my cousin who's birthday is coming up. I intended to get myself a second set to open up once they hit Disney Stores, but it doesn't look like that will even happen. My "thrill" about the Marvel license has greatly diminished, maybe we'll hear from the Powers That Be that more sets of the first wave are coming, and perhaps then my interest will reawaken and I will consider an additional wave. But as it stands now, I'm not going to put myself through this again.
Yeah, my excitement went away pretty quickly. I'm in Germany and can't see how I'm going to get my hands on the Marvel stuff without paying crazy sums. I did look at eBay listings for the Spider-Man set ... but I'm just not willing to spend that much money. Not with another exciting DC wave waiting in the wings. It's disappointing how this whole Marvel thing turned out, but I'm not blaming Mego (only Marvel/Disney) and still glad for my fellow collectors who actually got ahold of Spidey, Electro and Co. And I don't want this to spoil the fun I've been having with the great DC stuff that I can actually get my hands on. I only hope Mego won't neglect the DC line in favor of the 'hot' Marvel franchise.

Disney is trying to make us go to the parks to get these and I have'nt been to Disneyland in 44 years. Electro is really cool with a perfect head sculpt and
    costume.

I reckon the next set will be Cap, Hulk, Iron Man & Dr Doom as the ‘new’ one. They made a big deal about introducing RDJ as Dr Doom. Doom was always the Big Bad for Marvel back in the day. It’s a good way to have him established prior to the FF set, which I believe will be the four of them together.

I was wondering about a split set for FF, as well. The reason being that I am not sure where we are in terms of the different bodies for figures. Does anyone know if there is an issue or delay with female bodies being produced? The reason I wonder is the Super Gals seem to be long overdue and if it's an issue of female body availability, that seems to me that it would delay a Sue Storm figure. And that leads me to wonder if a Hulk/Thing body has been developed for production. Does anyone know where we are with different body types going into production? I try to keep up with the developments, but info seems to be hard for me to find and I'm not sure if that's because I am missing announcements or if there haven't been any updates.

I was thinking one per quarter, which should put it sometime in March. However Paul said April in the video with Marth posted not too long ago.

I was thinking a Captain America: Brave New World-themed wave. Maybe a reissue of Cap, Falcon and Hulk and a new figure of The Leader? Or maybe a Red Hulk? The movie drops in mid-February, but I'm not sure when the next Marvel set is due to be released.

I can't see the FF coming until wave 3, sometime June/July about the time the movie is coming out. If I had to guess the next wave is Iron Man, Cap,, Hulk and a new one. Hulk, Cap and IM were shown on the boxes on the this first set. I think they tipped their hand knowingly. I also think the FF will be sold as a set of 4, to help promote the film. Disney is clearly setting the tone here and they're masters at marketing.

Disney sells a lot of Avengers items and I don't see any Fantastic 4 stuff . Disney Avengers items include Dr. Strange, Black Panther, Capt . Marvel along with the rest. Spidey already had 3 villans in set so Venom , Loki, Dr Doom , Sabbretooth, and Magneto are my only wish.

Perhaps they tipped their hand at the next wave by including the Avengers on the Electro box?

I was thinking of Black Panther, too. Surfer would appeal to Mego cost-wise.

A Super-Skrull would be terrific and could utilize already-printed Thing and Human Torch fabrics. Hmmm.........

Annihilus is a favorite of mine but very detailed.

That would leave two spots in each set for other characters, so who? Dr. Doom is almost a certainty, it's been discussed for decades--and Mego could reuse the boot and glove molds from Iron Man for Doom.

Sub-Mariner would fit in with FF characters. I assume FF would be a later set(s).

I'd certainly like a classic jumpsuited Red Skull--I figure he might be released with the Captain America reproduction. Along with Falcon?
With the FF movie coming this year, an FF themed set wouldn't surprise me. Silver Surfer, Doom, Galactus are all possibilities to round out a set, though Galactus would be a little short. Panther also debuted in the pages of FF, so could be a possibility in an FF set. Blastaar and Annihilus are far less likely, but a Skrull could be possible.

I’m guessing the next wave won’t be the Fantastic Four, for the simple reason they probably want at least one supervillain in the set.

I would personally like to see the next set include Captain America, Black Panther, Thor and Iron Man, if one of the heroes has to be substituted for a villain, then I think the Red Skull would be a good choice.

or continue the Spider-Man wave, and give us Alter-Ego Peter Parker (with camera) The Vulture, Dr. Octopus and Venom.

But to be honest, I would like to see some of the Avengers included in next wave.
