Got my Spidey sets in Today!

I just paid the duty fees on my 2 sets to UPS, I should be receiving them on Monday.

Now, will just wait for the 3rd 4 pack set to come out.

And Yes, Thor is a must !

I just ordered two sets and if they come in it’s ok. I had only wanted one but it seemed like it automatically marked me for two and I couldn’t change it. Let’s hope.

I just checked the store again and there are apparently still sets available. I was able to add two sets to the cart. Didn't follow through with the process because I already have a set, but it seems like someone who might still have a need could get a set or two.

I think this is great, but it set me to wondering if this will repeat with the FF set and whatever may come next. Knowing this detail would be very helpful in cutting down on the anxiety next go around and would necessarily dissipate the rotten cloud that sets in over the releases so far. That being the artificial scarcity that is driven by profiteers whose sole intent is making money (while adding no value to the product) from a panicked collector base who just want to buy a toy or support Mego as a company. It kind of guts me to remember all of the anxiety during both releases. If someone knew at the time that the Spidey set would wind up being released again (and not get gobbled up by the first ones to the trough....in fact, still available dayS later)....image how far that could have gone toward easing the angst in the moment.

I also agree with this, especially the availability for all. If I personally had a choice, I would like to see Cap-Iron Man-Thor and Black Panther, but I wouldn’t mind seeing one of those substituted for a villain like maybe Dr. Doom.

Man, how I hope for Iron Man, Cap, Hulk, and Falcon. I loved the Iron Man Mego as a kid, and the thought of squaring off the Thing against the Hulk once more would be surreal and so fun.

I have ancient pics of me posing proudly in front of my Megos. I’m wearing a robe that barely covers my Captain America pajamas. Barely covers, I must add, due to my portly 9-year-old glory.

We’re talking the stuff of Plaid Stallion nightmares.

Doc Mego publicly said that he was working with Disney to allow them to reissue the set. So I think that message was out there... and I'm glad they were able to make it happen.

I agree, it's all been very badly handled. If they can just learn from their mistakes...

I came very close to buying a set on the secondary market. I ordered it from someone on Mercari who clearly buys things at the Disney parks and resells them. That's okay, and it was only $100 for the set, and I had a Mercari coupon, so I was getting it for $90 plus shipping. But he never shipped. After a few communications in which he PROMISED to ship on a particular date, he stopped responding to my messages. I ended up canceling the order after almost a month of waiting. He didn't even respond to Mercari's request for cancellation. AND he's still creating new listings of the same set. Whatever.
