It's confusing--but I'm pretty sure the loose set promoted by Disney as "Coming Soon" are production figures. -
The first pic I saw was of the four loose figures.
Then I saw the one here on the MEGO Museum site, followed by the one I posted from the Masterworks board.Leave a comment:

I wouldn't get your hopes up. If Mego had word that things were going to be run differently, I would suspect they would have gotten out front of this and shared that. I'm expecting the exact same outcome myself. If I don't get it, I can live with it. If these companies and retailers don't want my money, I'll spend it elsewhere.Leave a comment:

It is pretty crazy, how what should be simple and fun has turned into a somewhat stress-inducing experience.
Let’s just hope that we all get lucky, and that Disney learned their lesson.Leave a comment:

If they’re only releasing them online that may mean Disney has enough online to meet demand. They had some left over in the parks and the online was a debacle.
making plenty and filling demand online cuts out resellers, eliminates product sitting on shelves.
but that’s giving Disney too much credit I thinkLeave a comment:

As of 12:40 PM EST on Monday, July 7th it is back to showing in the "Coming Soon" section and still shows it goes on sale Wednesday, July 9th at 8 am PST.Leave a comment:

I don't think anyone has been really happy with how the situation was handled. I'm not, and I'm one of the few who actually managed to order and receive a set from ordering from the Disney Store online. But no, it should never be this hard. It's one of the worst examples, but obtaining action figures has gotten extremely difficult and mind-numbingly frustrating accross the board.
Bear in mind, when the first set was announced, it was actually solicited weeks later and appeared in the parks first.Last edited by PNGwynne; Jul 6, '25, 7:44 PM.Leave a comment:

I’d almost be willing to bet the secrecy part had a lot to do with an NDA. Disney and Hasbro are more than likely behind the silence. Paul soon FB that once a time limit is up maybe he can speak to this.
last time he announced it the day before they started popping up at the Disney locations. Maybe Monday/Tuesday we’ll hear and/or he can say somethingLeave a comment:

It would be nice if there were some photos of the actual product that’s supposedly going up for sale on Wednesday.
Was it here or on another website (maybe Fwoosh or Articulated Thoughts), wherein someone expressed dissatisfaction with the way the whole situation has been handled, likening it to an almost criminal/mobster-like operation?
That may be a bit hyperbolic, but honestly, a blasted set of figures shouldn’t be so difficult to obtain, nor should information about the product be so secretive!

I'm still on the fence whether I get this set or not. I have the OG's. Packaging might tip me over so I wish they'd show it. To those worried about them selling out I paid a secret shopper close to what it would have cost through Disney. It was a reasonable price.Leave a comment:

I hadn't recalled that move, thanks. Speaking personally, I'm just anxious.
Unfortunately, I've done this dance with Mattel many times to the tune of MOTU Origins, and I'm getting too old to two-step.Leave a comment:
