Nice lineup, and it would be neat to see an assortment of all-new/never done before characters.
Black Bolt would be cool, too. He’s got a MEGO look to him.

Luckily I am off that Wednesday,Hope I can place an order before my doctor’s appointment. Curious if Mego fixed the issues from last time. A FF related 4 pack I can think of is Dr. Doom, Namor, Silver Surfer and “Flame Off” Johnny Storm.Leave a comment:

I like the FF as characters, but I think I will pass on them as Mego toys. I'm not a completest, and gearing up for the Disney website battle is not interesting me this round.
I have some coupons from Disney customer support that I think I will save for whatever line the Hulk comes in, and give it a shot, then.Leave a comment:

In my defense, the Byrne change happened in FF 256. (July 1983), on sale April 1983. Right around the time Mego was going bankrupt. So not too far after the Mego period. But since Mego just did straight repros, none of this matters.Last edited by Earth 2 Chris; Jul 1, '25, 3:25 PM.Leave a comment:

I highly doubt this will be the case, but I would truly love it if the coin in the FF set uses the John Romita Sr. art that was going to be used for the unreleased 4th Marvel Bronze Medallion.

The more I think about it Disney could limit this to all online sales. That would make sure Disney gets all the profits, and cuts out scalper and resellers. That would also eliminate any old stock sitting on their shelves collecting dust.
IF they had enough supply to meet demand (say limit 2) shopping online would be ideal. Maybe they've learned from the first go around.

Unfortunate timing for this Mego fan.
Bad enough that it's a Wednesday morning, but the 9th falls right dead smack dab on our monthly preliminary analysis day, which is business day 6. There will be no opportunity for me to be able to break free and play "the disney roulette". It looks like my interest in this line is dimming out quickly. I refuse to reward ebay scalpers. I have no interest in ever visiting disneyland again (way too expensive, especially considering the modern crowd size, which just sucks the joy out of the entire experience).
I'll just focus on completing my original Mego Marvel line, and upgrade a few of my less than perfect originals. At that point, I think I'll have enough Mego figures to keep me satisfied well into my retirement years. It's been a fun ride since 2017, but with the lack of interesting new lines of late and the recent "disney taint", I'm not having fun anymore.
Wishing you all the best, Cheers!!Leave a comment:

Wondering how the articulation on the female and muscle bodies will be? from the picture the Thing looks pretty flexible.Leave a comment:

Quite surprised, actually.
And Chris, much as I respect you, the Byrne idea is terrible. That's not Mego, and bad enough that it was applied to the "retro-Kenner" FF.
Looks like the Thing has a poseable waist? Yowza.Leave a comment:

Not to take the focus away from this set, but seeing Sue as part of the set gives me hope that 50th Anniversary editions of the Super Gals are still on the way.Leave a comment:
