I actually preferred this week's Tv version of Laurie's death. It will have greater payoff in the future with Carl's emotional arc I suspect, and perhaps put him in greater conflict with his dad. Tv Carl is on the verge of being a surly teenager, while comic book Carl remains a young boy via the magic of comic book time... Who's gone through way too much.

The baby was actually born in the comic, and it's been a while since I read it, but was there actually an onscreen death of the baby? I think Laurie was shot, and she collapsed with the baby pinned underneath her? I remember having a theory at the time that the baby would eventually come back much later as a huge plot point if any Woodbury survivors found and raised her.

I am waaayyyy late to this party....I just started watching this series on Netflix and I'm hooked. Will not look at Walking Dead threads to avoid spoilers.

I stil never understood the Lori hate...Was it that she hooked up with Shane and then broke up with him?

no, it was because she was playing them against each other, pretty much forcing the issue of a confrontation, and then she freaked out on Rick for killing him

I am not sure about greater conflict between Carl and Rick. But I do think Carl is sizing up to be a leader.

So i watched Sundays episode last night with my wife. Holy freakin zombie balls!!!! That had to be the best episode yet. Talk about being blind sided. And we still don't know what happened to Carol. I could not have hated Lori any more, yet they make you feel so strongly for her in her death. My wife cried and i'll admit i had to think about hockey. If this is what we got Sunday, imagine what we will get in the first half season finale. My big question is, DId Carl really shoot her? This show is amazing and just keeps getting better.

Am I the only one here who liked Lori? She did not cheat on Rick, she thought he was dead. In a life and death situation it is only natural to turn to someone you know and trust for comfort. I think in the last few episodes she really felt bad about her "cheating" and really saw Rick for who he was and loved him.

There were issues before she thought he was dead, the pilot talked about it, so I assumed it had been going on even before the world got screwed up. Also she consistently put Rick and Shane at odds with each other, and caused Shane's going off the deep end. Yeah she wasn't a big help to the group, and heck I bet even Rick was thinking about taking her out,

man that was a brutal episode. very sad. as much as we all hated Lori that was a sad way to go. made more sense though in the context. i do wonder whether Carl really shot her though. might we see zombie Lori in another episode?
I was wondering the exact thing myself. Just watched it last night.
