Ok, that makes sense now, thanks.

Rick made a hard decision, but a necessary one, Carol is now officially a murderer, can't have that, so off she goes alone in the station wagon...I wonder how Daryl is going to react though.

Although interestingly enough, Carol wasn't too distraught about being banished by Rick...like Chris Jericho said in the Talking Dead, she became Walter White/Heinsenberg from Breaking Bad, lol.

Anybody else noticed how Michonne has lighten up this season?

Last season she was an angry one note character, but in this season, she has blossomed into a much more interesting character, showing a lot more emotion, even laughter, and for a moment there, I could swear I saw something sparkling between her and Daryl. Mmm, former white racist dating a black chick, nothing like a good 'ol zombie apocalypse to bring humankind closer together, lol.

What about the radio transmission? You would think they would have been talking about that a bit?

Maybe that's how Carol will find another group? The radio voice? I like how Rick tells her she'll meet new people, like she's searching on "Z-Harmony".
I could see Carol heading up the spinoff show now though, going off to find America with a brave band of Merry Men she collects along the way. She's tough enough to do it I think. I can see her with an eyepatch & vest, maybe a thin cigar. And some fish tanks...

Carol Spin-off is possible. That show is all going to come down to budget. AMC is notoriously tight with a dollar.

I have to assume she comes back for the girls and that's why Rick kept looking in the rearview.

Rick stinks as a leader. I have yet to see this guy make a truly smart call since the CDC. He's good at tactics but on the big decisions, he makes Jack from Lost look coherent. Banning Carol is only going to get Tyreese to leave which you can't afford. He could have easily blamed it on someone whose sick, or whoever was feeding the walkers. And it's not like Tyreese would question it after that whole debacle with Alan and his kid.

The problem is the writer/producers are having the characters make decisions based on plot foreknowledge. Since the writers already know the big turns coming, they're retroactively laying the groundwork and it doesn't click. I was able to watch a number of episodes I hadn't seen back-to-back, and they don't work in succession. Paced out, week-to-week, really helps the show because you tend to forget details. But bookend them and there are serious "wth was that" moments.

That has to be the end of the season.

It appears we get the Governor's assault at the mid-season.

I've only seen it in the Honda commercial but that's not TWD that's Honda. Really the term zombie has been mis-used. In horror films a zombie was someone who was alive but under someone else's control. If they even have the same horror films in TWD universe, (probably no the Romero films tho), I guess they would never make the connection to name the undead as zombies. I guess a new term should've been used for these types of monsters since Night of the Living Dead was filmed.

I'm guessing that mega- herd is coming there way, and no fence is going to help.
there likely is but fuel is a very precious commodity while human labor is relatively/comparitivly cheap especially amongt those who live in the prison but aren't warriors who go on runs for supplies. If you notice they are taking out the smaller SUV from shane or a car not the bigger trucks when they hit the road sacrificing 4wd and ground clearance for fuel economy or speed - and the result with the charger on the herd is why you need 4wd and clearance you never know when the back wheel will lose traction

i was pleased with Isolation (ep4 of the season). There was a decent amount of action, good interpersonal, and the reminder that it's a tough world out there. I agreed with Rick sending Carol away, on several counts, while she is able to "make hard decisions" she seems to have no morality everything is purely for pragmatic survival reasons. While it is important not to be overly sentimental people need to still be people not robots or sociopaths (like the gov) and the decision to kill sick people before they died was a bit too far. Like Rick I wouldn't want someone like that near my kids

I think it was best for the prison becuase if Tyrese found our and killed her there it would lead to a divide of the pro carol (mostly the kids and others who have detached from sentiment) vs the it was wrong becuase they were alive. I think Glen would be in the Carol camp and Herchel in the other

There's no way Tyreese would find out unless Rick told him or Carol told someone else. There's no working cameras, etc...

If I was Tyreese, I'd assume it was one of the sick people since he doesn't know them that well, and they had to catch the flu from someone. My first suspect would have been Caleb the doctor. If he has a "can't save everyone" attitude, then it should have come out in the past month. But the writers have a goal, which is why they ditched Carol.

Romero just did an interview for The Big Issue where he says he didn't call the living dead “zombies.”

“To me back then, zombies were those voodoo guys who were given some sort of blowfish cocktail and became slaves."

You are assuming that Rick admits to the group that he banished Carol... which I don't think he will.

I think Rick will come back and let the group incorrectly conclude she died on the raid... he won't lie, but he won't correct them either.

                              ^ That's a good point.

Then her return splits the camp in two. Rick gets Tyreese and Glen/Maggie or whoever survives. Carol gets Daryl, maybe Michonne. And now you have two shows.

That makes sense from a budget model, also. They wouldn't be creating an entire new show from scratch. Just taking the existing one and shooting enough material to cover a second hour.

So what would happen if Carol runs into Darryl and crew on their way back to the prison? That would make for some good drama, haha...
