I got into a hour + long Doctor Who discussion yesterday. Was dropping off goodies at a Video Game and DVD re-sell store and ran into a regular how is a BIG Who-ophile. So I posed the Clara question to him. But he was more concerned about the upcoming Multi-Doctor episode. The rumors he's heard is that John Hurt (Alien, V for Vendetta) was to guest star in the episode. There was other rumors he had heard but I'll leave it at that.
We also put together a little pool concerning this Doctors Name Hullabaloo.
    I'm going with John Smith
The Who-ophile says its Alpha Sigma (Do not ask. It took him 30 min's to explain.)
And "Zippy" was offered by the Stores owner.
I'm putting this up here as note to myself. But in all, I think the whole issue of the Doctors name is pointless.

I'm not liking the title of tomorrow's episode. Don't care what his name is. Sheesh.

    My Clara theories:
    1. "The One" (2001 Jet Li) Clara is a being splayed over the Chrono-verse (Instead of Multiverse like Jet Li ). Until all her versions are destroyed and she becomes her ultimate self.

    2. She's a Tardis.

    3. An Anomaly created by "Big Bang II"

    4. Deja-Vu. The feeling you sometimes get that you've been annoyed by the same tiresome character before.

    5. A poorly written plot devise that will be explained by even more poor writing.

    UPDATE!!!
    6. Jenny, The Doctor's Daughter.

Place your bets or add your own...

    >I don't get people's fascination with wanting incest in Doctor Who

Up until the last episdoe it was pretty easy to see his affection for her as more buddy/buddy, with a dash of consernation over who she is.

    >These were Mondasian Cybermen, not alternate universe Cybusmen

Probably. They looked and acted like.... well, like Borg; but they were closer to the alternate Cybermen. There could have been some sort of exchange, since the story was WAY in the future. We saw that the old Cybermen still do/did exist in the new series, so it's tricky to wrap a head around this point currently.

    >of all the great scifi heroes, I have to follicaly emulate Captain Picard

I've been sportin' the Tor for a while now.

    A. Gross! I don't get people's fascination with wanting incest in Doctor Who...Blech.
    B. Not gross, but highly unlikely.
    C. Maybe, but she didn't regenerate after dying in Victorian times, she just died.
