I like Smith too. More so after we've learned he based his Doctor on Troughton's version.

    I'm the opposite

I didn't care for Smith from the start but he's been growing on me.

As much as I *** and moan about the new series it's usually about the writing and direction, not Smith

He's refreshing in a Tom Baker way after an annoyingly tortured Tennant Doctor

Yawn. I liked Smith at first, but he's not growing on me. I find his Doctor a little too loopy-goofy. I miss the intensity of the other Doctors. No disrespect to Smith, but I'm ready for a new Doctor. Maybe a new show runner, too. Time to shake it up a bit.

That and the fact that WE'VE SEEN MCGANN TWICE THIS SEASON suggests it's bullocks.

I'm hoping they kinda ripoff the Tennant episode where they make a new Doctor from the cut off hand and partial regeneration --- This way the Doctor's timeline will remain the same but they can sneak in an inbetween Doctor that officially wont count

As much as I didn't care for the movie, yeah.... he seems official now so he should be part of things.

I just hope they dont mess with the established Dr timeline.

Have been hearing (just rumors) Moffat and the BBC are trying to get rid of MaGann as the 8th Doctor

    Also this from Whona:

Here's the best I could do on screen caps of the McGann stand-in:

For the promo shots accompanying a recent audio adventure, they went with a different look for McGann... shorter hair and leather coat.

But the coat John Hurt wears in the 50th anniversary episode looks a lot like Eccleston's:

I can't find any pictures to back this up but remember a few years ago MaGann changed the way the 8th Doctor looked ?

Do those pics look anything like the Hurt Doctor ?

If they do have Hurt playing an older MaGann i'd be let down - considering MaGann would mostly likely jump at the chance to play the Doctor again.

I can't buy that. Tho Hartnell did suggest an evil version of himself, possibly a relative, that would butt heads with him frequently in the show.

Did anyone notice that the medical scanner Strax uses sound like the Tricorder from The Next Generation?
