Didn't buy these but the wife dropped them on me a few weeks back as a gift:

-Vincent Price "Scream Legends" box set (Phibes 1 and 2, Witchfinder, etc)
-The Incredibly Strange Creatures who stopped Living and Became Mixed up Zombies
-Also one of those 50 packs of public domain Sci-Fi

    A good haul.
    Cheers

    Bob

Battle Beneath the Earth is one strange movie. Just read up on it, and it seems that it's actually a British film, masquerading as a American film.

I'm really like Motel Hell, that chainsaw fight at the end is great, as is the guy's pig-head mask.. wild stuff. I gotta see Magic again too, that film is really creepy. HEY SHMUCKO!!!!

Karloff isn't in I walked with a Zombie. It's pretty good tho. Isle of the Dead is really cool, and some of the mythology in it was used in a Hellboy story.
Huh, I hadn't noticed that, but you're right! Oh well, Body Snatcher is well-worth $3 on it's own. I'll have to get to watching these soon.

I picked up two Boris Karloff double features at Big Lots last weekend for $3 each.

One set had "The Body Snatcher" and "I Walked with A Zombie". I saw "Body Snatcher" on TCM a few years back and thought it was a great movie. Karloff's performance is just downright chilling. He's one evil SOB in that one. It was directed by Robert Wise no less! Not sure about "Zombie", but heck, it's Karloff, and it's by the same producer, Val Lewton, so why not?

Same reason I picked up the other set, with "Isle of the Dead" and "Bedlam". I mean, how can you go wrong with 4 Karloffs for $6?

    Chris
