Good wins for both teams but my god the USA left it late. Slovenia were celebrating qualifing with the England players when the USA scored, it must have been devastating for them.

I'm telling you, the refs have something out for the USA. For those that didn't watch, we scored a goal in the game but called offsides. Over and over in slow motion, they show it and it is not offsides. That is two games in a row now and what I hate about soccer. I realize that mistakes happen but if Italy had done the same thing...there would have been no call.....I'm glad the USA is going through as the #1 seed and did win but still bothered by these lame calls against us that are making a difference.

I still hate admitting it, but I'm starting to wonder. Of course, I forgot all about it when the ball hit the back of the net!!!

I was stuck in an all-day meeting with some corporatre big brass, but the game was on a big monitor in the background. When the US scored, I had to excuse myself and run down to our newsroom. Everyone knows why a soccer nut I am and came over to high-five, etc. I even got a few hugs! I am still floating!!!

Many refs in this world cup are plain awful...believe me...USA is not the only one being screwed.

What I suggest about team USA is to forget the bad calls...move on...and concentrate against Ghana in the second round.

Yeah...Argentina is the most hated amongst Latin Americans...lol.

Brazil is the most loved.

But I personally hate Italy the most.

As long as they don't win...I'm almost happy...
