Germany made a huge mistake by relying on the counter attack. They allowed Spain to control most of the game and hoped to catch them on a counter attack but Spain prepped for it.

I don't think Holland will make the same mistake. Should be a great final.

It would be akin to me predicting the U.S. would win the world cup....only difference is the Netherlands had a very real shot from the very beginning; the U.S. had a very remote chance.

I still would have liked to have seen the U.S. beat Ghana, Uruguay and face the Netherlands in the semi-finals.

The U.S. did well winning their group, just wish they would have made a bit of a run as they should have in the knockout stage.

Holland has been in WC finals before...they have the pedigree...USA does not (neither does Mexico).

Truly, anyone could win. There are so many intangibles, and in a single-elimination final you never know what might happen. I'm still going for the Netherlands.
