The way I look at it... with so many injuries and the suspension going into the game with the Dutch, Uruguay is facing an uphill battle. Then again, this whole cup has been uphill for my boys.

No one seriously thought they'd make it to the Semi's. NO ONE. Brazil, sure. Argentina, of course! Uruguay, who?

But guess who's still in Africa, and who's on a plane back home.

At this point, Uruguay is guaranteed at least a 4th place finish. If they loose against the Dutch, they've still got a shot at 3rd place. If they win, at least a 2nd place... all in all, not a bad showing.

I know I called the Germans champions...but with all due respect to any fellas of German decent here...it sure would be nice to have one team that has never one the Cup...like Netherlands...those guys deserve it, dammit...twice runners up...they deserve to finally win the big one.

Uruguay would be a nice story too...but they were the first soccer power...and they already have two World Cup trophies...but you still have to give it up to them...a country that small...and yet...they are kinda relieving their past glory years as a soccer power.

To be honest...I am rooting for Spain as well...I'm more connected to a Spaniard than a German...lol...
