With regards to Gene and staging... I can say a few things.

    1. Gene really did reach out to us, and he did call me. Some artistic license may have been re-created for TV.
    2. I understand people feel the show may have seemed a bit "too polished" and I hear you.... the Network wanted to reach a broader range of the viewing audience. Sometimes, this means "jazzing up a few scenes" or "dumbing down" others.

However, I am still in control when the deals go down and try to make them as real as possible. Vicky really did have the KISS Van, along with some Megos and other stuff. ( She even had a rare KISS mobile from Australia). I overpaid on the Van big time... but I really wanted to have it.

Gene is pretty much the way you would think him to be.. business like and "matter of fact." I did get some cash from him as well.. in addition to the record.

The viewmaster did go the the old man at the flea market, when I found out that Gene had it... it was sold for $75.

I am trying to keep the show entertaining and fun. It may become less documentary and lean more towards documentary/information. It's the Networks call.

I can promise you this.. we have TONS OF MEGO THIS SEASON. In fact, producers asked me "Can we do less Mego?" ... and I said.. " Of course not!"

Thanks for your comments and suggestions, I read them all and I remain in all of your debt for watching the show!

    Best-
    Jordan
Jordan thanks for the comments. You really are a class act all around!

    Keep on hunting my man!

Thanks. I thought you were referring to the Marx museum at Glen Gale. Whic would have been news to me, as I work less than a mile from it.

Did you have to hold him upside down by his dragon boots?

Reality Show staging aside, I did not care for 'Psychic Toy Hunter' guest starring 'the Demon of Heck'.
Gene wanted Jordan to magically find KISS merchandise for his unseen collection? So, no visit to review his collection first? No communication on what he was looking for, or upgrades to his collection?
There is enough expectation without communication in our world today.
Gene, you are so lucky it was Jordan you called. If it had been me, after the first call, you would have received a message, telling you how I was not the guy for the job, good bye! It would have saved us from a "three-legged race to the hospital" later in the transaction.
Jordan, you are a far better man than I. Your tolerance is a testimony to your character.
    Toy Hunter 4 ever.
As for KISS: didn't think I could care less, until this episode.

    Gene has the Van....

Oh, and about the seatbelt issue... I am wearing it! LOL Since we are all mic'd up.. the microphone sits on my chest. The seatbelt runs right across the top of my chest, so we usually slide the belt behind us, or off to the side.

Trust me, safety is always our number one priority on the road, and for the Network!

    Hey Jordan,
So did Gene take the van or do you still have it? Would love to add that to my KISS collection but they don't turn up very often in that condition. Let me know

Hope to see more superhero toys on the show, Jordan. I kept hoping you'd say something about that Spider Man/Fantastic Four board game!

Like I said, watching all them toy goodness is more than enough for me, it's great, and I understand about the network "jazzing" things up, it's all good.

Just don't let me catch you without wearing a seat belt ever again, lol.

Lovin' all the Mego in the show! Keep up the great work. You really ought to try and get by the Mego Meet. It would be a great segment for the show...... heck you could do a whole show on it . Of course it may be a tough sell if the producers are already wanting you to do less Mego .

P.S. if you happen to come across any of the Buddy L vehicles in my sig line...... keep me in mind would ya .

I like the show. My dad is lukewarm on it, but that's mostly because he's into 50s toys and earlier, while my focus is mainly superheroes.
