    I agree

If JNT did Tomb it would probably be unbearable by the beginning of part-3

i watched it last night on the DVR. it was a fun episode. Troughton is a lot of fun as the doctor. it is very, very dated though, not just the black and white but everything about it

For The options for perwee are pretty wide. My personal preferance would be INFERNO which is my all time favorite story, If only for Evil Brigade leader in his eyepatch
I would not be suprised to see Spearhead from space if only becuase it was shot 100% on film so they can "HD" it and it will allow them to make references to the 2005 re-launch episode Rose (as would Terror of the Autons which as Mike indicated also is the first Master episode)
My only "knock" against Terror is that there are several dodgy CSO bits)

to be honest I was suprised to see both of the stories used so far were ones that have have a standard and special ed release on dvd
I just hope they don't cheapen the pertwee story With The Three doctors (while a perfectly good story it is hardly the best Pertwee story ever) which also has a spec ed release on dvd

My guess would be they'll go with something with the Daleks in it.

While pertwee has several Dalek stories I suspect they will save that Dalek story for Tom with Genesis of the Daleks regarded by many as the best classic who story and the definitive work for the modern dalek history.

Looks like this months revisited classic story is Jon Pertwee's Spearhead From Space

A safe choice, imo ---- but knowing they're most likely going to hack it up letterboxing it makes me just want to watch the DVD instead

I heard they picked it because it was the only ep that was entirely on film (instead of the usual mix of film and video prevalant from Pertwee to McCoy) so it was easier for them to convert to HD.

Anybody watch Spearhead last night ?

I tried but the letterbox squeeze-vision started giving me a headache again.

they really need to stop doing that

                        same here

It bothered me was that they didn't interview as many surviving cast as they could have - Jon Levine, Katy Manning or Terrence Dicks, but it was nice they talked to Richard Franklin

I watched it and really enjoyed it...I'd forgotten just how pretty Caroline John was. Shame Liz Shaw doesn't get the companion "respect" she deserves, but she did play a major role in the Pertwee comic book story this month. John Pertwee was a great Doctor, brains & action, wry humor.

I'm betting next month we get Baker's "Terror of the Zygons" since the BBC is hyping them as returning villains.

based on the stories so far I doubt it if only becuase this is one of the few stories that hasn't been released on dvd at all and all the other stories were in the first 2 years of dvd releases (pre 2002) and have been re-issued in special edition format.

I'm only watching tonight for the Tom Baker interview. Love the line in the preview on how he wasn't acting. He was The Doctor.
