This Sunday night, BBC America's special classic episode is ...........
Which Doctor is this? I will admit I have only watched a scant bit of Who here and there over the years. It very rarely aired on our local PBS station, and that was it.
I'm guessing you may not see many color episodes aired. The B&W ones look like vintage old films instead of shot on video. I think an audience in the US would say, OK those are old & dated but I can accept the way they look because they're in B&W. The color stuff from Pertwee onwards probably won't appeal as much to new audiences of BBC America. I have a friend who won't touch any DW prior to 2005 stuff because it's on video and it looks like a cheap soap opera to him. Kind'a the reverse of why they ditched the B&W stories.
I don't think I have ever seen it, or any of Troughtons episodes for that matter. I started Dr. Who with Pertwee and Baker so those are the 2 I have always loved. I am looking forward to checking it out tomorrow though, course it will have to wait on the DVR since Walking Dead is on at 9
One thing for the people that haven't seen it yet ... In this story the Cybermen are a bit hard to understand .... The Cybermen are still being tinkered with and don't have a definitive look and sound yet.
Just warning yous, you might have to use the replay button a few times
Thought it was cool when they said Matt Smith used The Second Doctor as the basis for his Doctor. I wonder what they'll do next month for Pertwee?
I'm hoping they do The Time Warrior. The first Sarah Jane adventure. Pertwee is my favorite Doctor as he is who (<-- funny) I started with. And Sarah Jane. . . I love me some Sarah Jane. RIP Ms. Sladen.
If I had only spent a tenth of the time studying Physics that I spent learning Star Wars and Baseball trivia, I would have won the Nobel Prize.
I also had to wait for the encore showing due to the Walking Dead. During which. BBC America experienced Technical Difficulty's and I missed the entire ending. Now I have to wait again for another re-airing!!! BOOOOOOOO!!!
