This Sunday night, BBC America's special classic episode is ...........
^I watched that. It wasn't bad. From the special beforehand I expected to greatly dislike Collin Baker's Doctor, but from this episode, I liked him quite a bit. I liked Peri, but for totally different reasons. I can imagine she was quite popular among the teenaged Who fans of the day.
I remember this being one of the few Colin Baker stories I could stomach, but I haven't seen it since the 80s. I'll say it was ok. It was nice to have some social commentary in Who, but man the budget was threadbare and it really showed in places.
I haven't seen much of Doctors 6 & 7, after Davison the local PBS station started weaning away from Who & Star Trek Saturdays. Never thought much of the Colin Baker Doctor, but the pre show kinda explained he wasn't abrasive as a choice, but by direction. I'm interested enough for another look.
Looking for Green Arrow accessories, Doctor Who Sonic Screwdriver, and Japanese Popy Megos (Battle Cossack and France, Battle of the Planets, Kamen Rider, Ultraman) and World Heroes figures
Awesome is right! Really enjoyed it!
And just seeing The Rani in that ridiculous
Mel getup in the review episode was enough to put anyone off the 7th Doctor so thankfully they didn't show it as his "example" show. Never thought much of Mel as a companion anyway, I found her totally annoying, her hair, voice, outfit...
