To be fair, I haven't yet watched a full episode with Mel, but I imagine the younger audience was quite miffed to have Peri replaced with her.

I DVRed Remembrance of the Daleks. I watched the 7th Doctor special, and this one looks really good. Looking forward to checking it out.

I am not a huge remembrance of the Daleks fan but it is a very good story for the Calculating Darker Doctor of McCoys 2nd season. I am disapointed that this is the only Dalek Story selected for the "best of"'s when I still feel that Genesis of the Daleks would have been a better davros story and was a good example of the Baker era despite it being from his first season, and Dalek invasion of earth or the Daleks would have been a good first doctor story.

Yeah, I would've said use Curse of Fenric at least. Maybe save the Dalek episode for a special Dalek themed month.

I noticed that BBC America is not running any other Doctor Revisited shows prior to this as they did before. It's Star Trek up to 9:00. And they are only running the show once, not repeated, at least not again in the next couple weeks. After the 8th film they have the 4th Doctor Pyramids of Mars again. Some weird deal with Fox?

I can't beleive that they didn't interview Mcgann at all for the Pre show, Snuffed once again. I would have liked to have seem them interview the producer who like RTD was a huge who fan and it was his love of the show that made him work so hard to make it

Add it that it alone explaininedthe ENTIRE plot of the story and clipped almost every key shot from it. It doesn't matter for the "hard core" who fans we've all seen it but if the point of these was to expose who to new fans there was no need for those tuning in to see the actual show to ruin just about every "surprise". With only 1 TV adventure it makes clip shots tough but really that was so typical of the new shows treatment of McGann

Surprised they didn't interview McGann, but found the two "companions"? And yeah, they blew the chance to talk about McGann's run after the show aired in other media, which I find pretty interesting. Effectively, he was the Doctor the longest, if only in print & audio. There are like 50 some books featuring the 8th Doctor, and not easy to find. Plus all the audio adventures...
Been awhile since I saw the film, and I have to say it was pretty enjoyable. McGann was very good in the role, and it's too bad it ended so soon. Still holding out hope that the 8th Doctor will get some love in the November special.

I was surprised they did not mention all the audio adventures. not that I have ever heard them, but he did continue in the role. maybe he did not want to, or could not for some reason, be interviewed for this

Nostalgia buff, I just started collecting the Audios, and now is the best time to get started!

Go to bigfinish.com, and check out the Doctor Who Main Range.

The first 50 audio adventures are all $2.99 each for download, or $7.99 for CD which includes the download free!

For the McGann Audios I recommend you start with Storm Warning, and Chimes of Midnight.
Looking for Green Arrow accessories, Doctor Who Sonic Screwdriver, and Japanese Popy Megos (Battle Cossack and France, Battle of the Planets, Kamen Rider, Ultraman) and World Heroes figures

I am a HUGE fand of the Big Finish audios and have the most of the who releases from 1999 till this year (i am about a year behind on the companion chronicles releases), I never got the Benny audios or Galirey Series

if anyone wants some suggestions for single releases or good subsription runs form an long time american who fan PM me

in the early years they rotated each month which doctor you got and the stories weren't necessarily in a chronilogical order for the doctor but were nice mixes of companions
the Mcgann stories are in chronilogical order and have the same copmanions from the start Storm Warning#16 is the first audioand continue to #19, then it goes back to other doctors stories before restarting again at #28-33, skipping to 50, skip to #60-64 after that Mcganns stories Join the other 3 BF doctors of the era (davision, Colin Baker, Mccoy) in the monthly rotation
the Eight Doctor Adventures (4 seasons) are in a separate period of the Mcgann Doctor's time line (with a different companion) and were made initially for BBC radio broadcast and you really should listen to them starting with season 1

if you are looking for a couple of lower price releqases and don't want to get a subscription these are my favorites in the first 50
9 The Spectre of Lanyon Moor - Coling baker Doctor and the Brig
23 Project twilight - Colin bakers Doctor and vampires
34 Spare parts - davison and the origin of the cybermen
40 Jubilee - The same writer as the TV episode Dalek - this audio was the basis for his plot of the tv story but this is even better

Tom Baker has only recently joined BF for audios and they are all great so far

I'd be interested if they did a lot of build up to how the show came back etc, but I know it's just going to be about the actors themselves
