That weird kid who names the walkers is gonna be trouble, but Carl's got his gun back. The comic book readers know what's gonna happen.
Smart move on everyone's part to grab the falling fence of zombies and push back with your bare hands... guess none of the gang ever visited the zoo... Lucky anyone has fingers left!
Poor Tyreese, his chick is toast.Comment

Yeah, I thought that was really strange. When they did the closer shots you could see some of their hands were protected by......well, one looked like a shovel head. I wonder what happens to all the zombies they clear at the fence. Doesn't look like they have a tractor to get them away from the fence and do they have a big hole they toss them into and if so, when did they have the chance to dig that? They need some heavy machinery, and they are going to need to board, fiberglass, solid fence the chain-link so the zombies cant see them, otherwise they are always going to be seeing the food/ people.Comment

I haven't been keeping up with this thread so I apologize if this has already been posted. I found this article that explains why Andrea was written out of the show last season:
Also some thoughts from recent pages here:
Something that bugs me about zombies in general is the virus being transmitted through biting. WHy the teeth? People have had zombie guts and all kinds of blood and body parts all over them, probably some of those people had open wounds but they are fine. As soon as they bite you you're done?
The thing about breaking the skin seemed to be a counter-point to the killing of zombies in the grand-daddy of the genre: the book I Am Legend. Robert Neville discusses how driving a stake into the heart of these undead kills them yet he wondered how he was actually be getting the heart every time? He didn't think his aim was always so precise. Then he figures out just the act of opening their chest cavity and letting in oxygen kills that virus,(?). Also flawed logic but that's the rule in that story. He also finds out the virus in that case alters the flesh which is why they are harder to kill and bullets are not very effective. Something they haven't addressed in Walking Dead which could explain the lack of flies feeding on them.
From the Walking Dead wiki:
"Robert Kirkman wrote:
The rule is: WHATEVER it is that causes the zombies, is something everyone already has. If you stub your toe, get an infection and die, you turn into a zombie, UNLESS your brain is damaged. If someone shoots you in the head and you die, you're dead. A zombie bite kills you because of infection, or blood loss, not because of the zombie "virus.""Last edited by johnmiic; Oct 31, '13, 11:02 AM.Comment

Why are they digging graves with a shovel? Surely there is an equipment shed at the prison with a small backhoe or bobcat tractor? Every large public building around here seems to have one...
I'm guessing that mega- herd is coming there way, and no fence is going to help.Comment

Heard an interesting thought tonight.
What if those who survive the flu now possess the antibodies to not change?
For example, Glenn survives the flu, gets bit, but doesn't become a walker. Or the old man dies in the cell block but doesn't come back.
That would be a fantastic flip and actually hold to the basic tenets we know about past pandemics.
It would also add a motivation to the survivors, which is actually missing when you consider they really have no reason to try and survive other than to not be eaten or come back a walker.Comment
