A friend and I walked out of Woody Allen's Purple Rose of Cairo in 1985. It's supposed to be a good flick, so it was probably just over our 16yo heads at the time. I've never re-visited it.

Also walked out on Steve Martin's My Blue Heaven and Dustin Hoffman in Billy Bathgate.

Oh I forgot about "Mystery Men" with Ben Stiller. The man doesn't know how to turn down a script.

"Batman & Robin" I went there on a date with some chick I was thinking of messing with(this is before I got married) and 20 mins in I thought - "Man. This girl is NOT going to put out after making her sit through this bomb. I gots to get the bleep out of here before she dies of boredom." And so I did. Dang you Schumacher and yer almost c**k-blocking movie!

Also the re-make of "The Time Machine" starring Guy Pierce. I didn't actually go to the theater to watch it but I walked out of my living room and almost committed suicide. So I'd say that was pretty wretched film to avoid.

Hah, what I meant by "concept" was the idea of filming it the way they did, and putting it out and promoting it to make people think it was "real". It was a cool concept for it's time, I thought. But as I said, once I finally saw it, I was a little underwhelmed. Still I thought it had it's moments though, honestly.

I think that's one of Jim Carrey's best films.

What seemed to grip a lot of people and why it made so much money was the whispering that this really happened. They even had a promotional show before the movie launched interviewing police, residents, etc. and at no time said the story was fabricated. I knew it was fake from the getgo because I have heard all of the local legends and there are some in Burkittsville but no Blair Witch. In fact, the only two scenes I think they even shot in Burkittsville was the town sign and a scene in an old cemetary right in town. What most people didn't hear is the chaos this movie caused for this small town. People were coming in from all over, stealing town signs, robbing gravestones from the cemetary and just creating problems for a small sleepy little town that wasn't prepared to deal with the problem.
Yeah, I saw it pretty early in its release and I heard it was real too, so I do think that made the experience better than bat guano

I got impatient for Transformers to end, so I left.

                  Did they win?

Hard to say, think the movie hasn't ended yet since you left!

It's funny that so many of these movies are ones that I love (like The Fifth Element and Cable Guy)... Of course, I genuinely like Pootie Tang and Showgirls, too.
