    Movies You Walked Out On

What movies have you gone to see at the theatre and ending up walking out before they were over because you either didn't get them, found them to be quite boring or just not your brand of humor, etc?

    I can think of two:

          Yeah NOT funny

Only good thing about this movie was
The Red Hot Chili Peppers song
"I've just bought a house. It's got a Buck Rogers Toilet. One yank, all gone!"

            BROADCAST NEWS

Me and my buds were actually booted out of the theatre for being "disruptive"

We kept chucking popcorn at people just to entertain ourselves ... because the movie was SOOOOOO BORING.

They gave us like 3 warnings, but we just kept going

I usually sit there til the end hoping I will get my money's worth with some big payoff ending. It never happens. I should trust my insticts and eat the $8 and save an hour of my life. 10,000 BC being the most recent example.

I would have walked out on Ace Ventura 2 but stayed because I didn't want to ruin it for a friend - after the movie when I asked how he liked it he said I would have walked out on Ace Ventura 2 but stayed for you. OOPS

I did walk out on Mrs. Doubtfire. I racked up the high score on Ms. Pac-man while waiting for my wife and brother.

I liked Broadcast News and The Lonely Guy.

When I was 11, I won tickets to Star Trek The Motion Picture from some radio call-in contest. It was such a flop that it only lasted a week or two here, so they substituted two movie tickets for Mountain Family Robinson, which was so boring and stupid that I walked out. That was the only movie in my entire life that I walked out on.

A friend talked me into seeing Revenge of the Nerds 2. Half-way through the movie, even he didn't know what he was thinking when he originally said lets see it. Of course, in his defense, this was still the time of theaters existing that had only one or two screens, so options were limited.
                  It's all good!

As a lover of bad movies, I find it hard to walk out, no matter how bad they are. However, I tried to leave "Rocket Man," but the group I was with wouldn't let me out of the aisle. I watched the "Lost in Space" movie on DVD, and begged for someone to turn it off after the first 10 minutes.

If I pay money to see a movie I'll try and sit through it. Took a date to see Out of Africa and after about an hour we both decided it sucked and walked out. Just couldn't take it any longer.

OMG, the Blair Witch has got to be the WORST overhyped movie ever created. The good news is I didn't see it in the theater...the bad news was I bought the video. I just remember everyone saying how scary it was and that the woods were "so frightening". As one who actually grew up in an extremely rural area where all you see is trees, that was nothing...they were about as frightening as the nursery/garden department at Home Depot.

My playground as a kid (and I'm sure many of you have lived in even more rural areas!)

It must be in the (PA) water. From Andy Milligan (the low budget Ed Wood) to Uwe Boll, I like checking out films that are generally considered bad. Sometimes you've just got to admire the sheer audacity of of some of these celluloid visions/nightmares. Besides, isn't it better to make up your own mind than someone else telling you what to think. Well most of the time...

Way back in '82, it was my turn to pick what flick my friends & I would go to see. For some reason I picked Partners, (check it out http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0084477/ if you don't remember this one). We didn't walk out on it but it was a long while before my friends let me hear the end of it, or let me pick the movie.
