Casey Dick passed for 200 yards and 4 touchdowns yesterday against Mississippi State - a team that was doing pretty well this season. He can do it - the question is will he?I don't have LSU in the NC game yet. LSU should beat ARK because they have not much passing game. If Tenn beats Ky, LSU should handle up on them in the SECCG. If Tenn loses to Ky, LSU more than likely will not get to the NC game because we will most likely not beat GA at this point.
Wonder how many times Miles will get asked this week if he's taking the Michigan job?

I'd say the current ranking is more important - the earlier in the season the less reliable it is because less is known about how good a team is.
Other wise they wiould just give the trophy to the preseason #1 and be done with it,
OSU certainly does not have one of the toughest schedules in NCAA football - but definitly harder than WV.Leave a comment:

LSU vs. ___________ in the BCS championship game.
Wouldn't it be something if LSU gets caught looking past Arkansas, loses, and then loses in the SEC title game to either Tennessee or GA?
Who plays for the national championship then?
Everyone already has LSU in the title game, but if I remember correctly from the past, LSU has a problem with choking and beating themselves.
(Can you tell I'm not a big LSU fan? Sorry antiquetiger)Leave a comment:

Not too sure why WV should be ranked ahead of OSU - they have an easy schedule and lost to S Florida -currently 27th or so. (yes, when they played them they were 18 but that was guess work) We lost to Illinois - #19.
They played 3 teams that were ranked at the time of play (and went 2-1) - we played 4 (4-0)
What was Illinois ranked when OSU lost to them at home? Hmmmm......and oh yeah, OSU had a REAL tuff schedule this year. Yeah right.....Leave a comment:

Right now, Georgia is the best team in the country. They are playing lights out like LSU did in the beginning of the season. I hope Tenn beats Ky next week or we face GA in the SECCG (and most likely lose). If Tenn wins, LSU is in the NC game, because LSU will most likely beat ARK and TENN.
GA is going to the Sugar Bowl is gonna kill Oklahoma in New Orleans.
I would love to see LSU win the NC and GA win Sugar Bowl and finish #2 in the nation, giving the SEC #1 and #2 finishes.Leave a comment:

Yeah, our chances are good, but I think it ends up being LSU/West Virginia. They have UConn, I haven't watched them at all this year and I have no idea how good they are, but if they get past them I think they have Pitt or something, a gimmie. On the up side, WV has pretty much played nobody this year, so I suppose UConn has a shot at them. I agree with your take on the Big 12, Oklahoma is good enough to beat either Mizzu or Kansas. LSU has a decent shot at losing as well, simply because they will play much higher caliber opponents.Leave a comment:

Ohio State's chances are very good for the NC. After next weekend, they will be #4 behind Mizzu or Kansas and WV. WV has to play a very good Uconn and WV struggled with Cinci last night.
If the scenario with the Big XII plays out like I said (and I think it will) and WV loses to UConn, Ohio State is back in.Leave a comment:

Geez this is a mess. All kinds of scenarios could produce all kinds of games, but right now as a buckeye fan, I'm also a big fan of Oklahoma in the Big 12 championship game, and of whoever plays LSU and West Virginia.Leave a comment:

IF LSU wins out, I say LSU/WV or LSU/Ohio State because the KU/Mizzu/OK triangle will knock each other out. Mizzu beats KU next week and OK beats Mizzu in championship, knocking the entire Big XII out of the race.
Les Miles has a buy out clause in his contract just for the MICH team because everyone knew Llyod Carr was close to retirement and Les is from MICH.
Les is a good coach, not a great coach. He is no Bobby Bowden, Nick Saban, Pete Caroll, Rich Rodriguez (LSU's next coach
), Steve Spurrier (maybe LSU's next coach).
Coach's Poll out:
1. LSU (51) 10-1 1,483
2. Kansas (8) 11-0 1,441
3. West Virginia (1) 9-1 1,345
4. Missouri 10-1 1,328

6. Arizona State 9-1 1,158
7. Georgia 9-2 1,105
8. Virginia Tech 9-2 1,019
9. Oklahoma 8-2 931
10. Oregon 8-2 890Last edited by theantiquetiger; Nov 18, '07, 2:15 PM.Leave a comment:

Just heard LSU coach Les Miles seems to be at the top of the list to take over the Michigan job, that would suck for LSU,they would lose a lot of recruits if that happensLeave a comment:
