What's up with Les Miles' bad dye-job.

I know you good folks in Louisiana have to be laughing at that.

When Darren McFadden and the lowly Razorbacks run Hog Wild all over Mizzou in the Cotton Bowl, then it will make sense why they didn't make it to a BCS bowl.

It wouldn't surprise me to see all the SEC teams win out ....... except Georgia.
Why you ask? GO HAWAII!!!!! THAT'S WHY! My predition is Hawaii 37 Georgia 24. I think Georgia was playing so well because they're an emotional team. Over a month off will hurt them.

If there is any doubt about needing a play-off, take a look at how the coach's votes breakdown. It is easy to see a lot of them were politicking including the Head Coach of my main team (I think that is what ****es me off the most, but every one of them did it). It's freaking ridiculous.
    USATODAY.com - USATODAY.com - 2007 final Top 25 football coaches' ballots
(It's interactive...hover over the coach's name to reveal the vote)

Polls are a crock. Gotta find a way to take the politics and human emotion out of it by letting winner take all in a tournament.

(Edited to add: When taken as a whole, I think the result is a pretty fair representation, but you can see a bias among the coaches who have "a horse in the race" and yes, I fully realize that includes Bob Stoops.")

Early Vegas line is LSU -6.5.

If LSU gets healthy in these 35 days, it will not be a game. If LSU still has some of these key injuries, it is anyone's game.

All I gotta say is after OSU's loss to illinois I still gave them a shot at the title. Not too many people were with me.

This year the record goes to 1-8.

Ohio State is 0-8 against SEC teams in bowl games....

    SEC whipping boy!!!!

My comparison to the Bills (actually I did it to the Giants by mistake) was just a joke (smack talk). This comparison shows I don't care much about the NFL. I couldn't tell you who won the last 5 Superbowls with out Google.

And never said they don't have a rich football tradition, but when you want to make them out to be possible SEC whipping boys, recognize those 7 national Championships.

PS - I am a known Giants fan, hence my defense of them. In my eyes, the Cardinals are still a St. Louis team, and my only regret is that they aren't still in the NFC East for Big Blue to beat up on.

Anyway, the BCS system sucks as a whole. A playoff system is the only way to approximate a National Champion. Either that or maybe they should let some video game company plug in all the variables and run a mock game. It'd be about as accurate, and people would still probably watch the thing on TV.

Yeah! Let's talk about how bad Miami is .... Just messing with you D. Actually I like LSU. My problem is with the BCS. Seeing such a jump up for LSU plus then KU and WV getting in BCS games then Mizzou being outed just makes no sense to me. Mind you I know I'm in the minority on this. Of course I'll keep complaining about the BCS until a playoff system is in place and then I'll probably still be complaining

    GO HAWAII!!!!!!

My complaint was definitely with the system and not that LSU was undeserving.

I don't have any problem at all with LSU being in there because, according to the agreed upon system, they got the most points. However, it is likely that parity will keep the BCS in turmoil year in and year out and this whole argument will repeat with even more intricate scenarios.

I didn't see anything where some one was dogging LSU (other than Hulk's stupid rantard).

Like I have been saying all along, if I had a vote in the Coach's Poll or Harris Poll, I would have gave mine to VT.

Most people are complaining about the system, not LSU, and I have not once taken offense about someone saying LSU shouldn't be there.

I would love to see some stats backing why who should be there. From what I have produced so far, it looks like LSU and VT deserve it more then Ohio State (on paper only). Ohio State deserves it, don't you think I think that.

Show me something why OK, USC, Hawaii, Mizzou, Ks, or GA deserve it.

A few people think LSU is not that good right now. We did just beat a Top 25 team with basically half of our second string in a Championship game.

I am guessing LSU jumped GA because of another win against a top 25 team and GA was idle, not because GA didn't win the conference. Losing ground in the polls when you are idle is not uncommon. I can understand LSU jumping GA, I don't understand LSU jumping VT, but I am not complaining.

I watched several shows last night, and all the "experts" are saying the two correct teams made it to the NC game. LSU has never been a media daring, and the media says it is correct.

This year, VT was "America's Team", due to the shooting and all. They were the media daring (along with USC, as always).

I am also guessing the final BCS W/L was a major factor as well:

    LSU 4-0:
    VT #3 win
    FLA #12 win
    Tenn #16 win
    Aub #23 win

    VT 3-2:
    LSU #2 loss
    BC #14 win/loss
    Clemson #15 win
    VA #20 win

    OK 3-0:
    Mizzou #6 win/win
    Tx #19 win

    USC 1-0:
    Az St #11 win

LSU is undefeated against final top 25 teams with 4 wins against 4 diff teams.

OK is undefeated as well, but only 3 wins against 2 teams

VT 3 wins and 2 losses against 4 teams

USC only had one top 25 win

If you also look at this, Ohio State only had one final top 25 team, and they lost (#13 Illinois)

Georgia is 2-1 against final top 25 teams

After I have been breaking all this down for the last few hours, I do see why LSU made it. You have to look at the entire season, not just the last 4 weeks.

And LSU jumped ahead of Georgia because of why? Remember that according to the BCS a conference championship doesn't matter.
IF Hawaii beats Georgia then they deserve at least a share of the NC. I don't care what the BCS says. Undefeated is undefeated. A perfect record trumps all.
