Sweet Florida finishes in the top ten. I'm some what surprised by the leap frog Mizzo got.

SO, as always, the SEC and Big XII are the powerhouse conferences with 3 teams each in the top 10, but Oklahoma or Kansas will fall out after next week (plus other teams that may lose).

LSU drops from 1 to 7 but Kansas goes from 2 to 5? And Hawaii is still on the outside looking in. The BCS makes no sense some times.

I know I understand the strength of schedule and stuff but that's ridiculous, after that win they deserve to atleast be in the top 10

Losing to an unranked team as Ark was really hurt LSU. Kansas lost to the number #4 team which doesn't hurt as bad. If Hawaii wins the WAC championship they should get in the BCS bowls. Some say it'll all work out in the end and it may but I still don't like the BCS polling

The BCS poll is the best thing they have had since college football began, but it is not perfect. I do not like the idea of a playoff system, I like the tradition of the Bowl games. The main thing I disagree with in the BCS system is that they allow a team that does not win their conference championship, a chance to play in the NC game. Georgia has a chance (slim one, mind you) to make it to the NC game this year and they didn't even win their division, much less the conference (even though I think they are the best team in the nation right now).

If or when they figure in the AP poll for the tally, make the computer rankings alittle stronger in the tally, and allow only teams that win their conference championship eligible for the NC game, the BCS will alot closer to perfect.

I kind of like the idea of the playoff system, gives everybody a fair chance

I remember my Canes getting screwed one year by the BCS

LSU played 12 regular season games, now they have the SECCG and a bowl game. That is 14 games in one season without a playoff system. In order for a playoff system to work, the major football universities would have to cut their regular season down two or three games minimum, that means cutting down on home games. These home games make ALOT of money for the university, and having less home games is alot of money lost. Tiger Stadium holds approx 93,000 people, and with a $45 ticket face value, they looking at $400K+ per game (not including $100 per game parking passes, Athletic Foundation surcharge, and consessions, etc) they would lose per home game.

I saw a bracket a few days ago that would work perfect for a playoff system, but with 12 regular season games and the SECCG, LSU would end up playing 17 games, making the season too long.

There is no perfect answer but at least with a playoff system it would be in the players and coaches hands where it belongs and not just a computer and a bunch of "voters". Of course in the end money always prevails.

A playoff system is possible, they just don't want to do it. The other divisions in college football have no problems.

Well, NFL teams have to play 16, and if they get in the playoffs as a wild card and get to the Superbowl, its a total of 20 games. Think of a extended playoff schedule as preperation for the "real world" of a potential NFL employee.

WVU is playing some good football right now. They are up and down but they can play and beat any team in the nation.

I was just happy to see my Terps crush NC State Saturday and make themselves bowl eligible. They'll be playing in a very minor bowl but at least they'll get a chance.
