OK College Football Fans, Now What? Oregon Lost!!

That is now five (maybe six) #2 teams losing to an unranked team. Could there possibly a two loss team in the national championship?

As a Sooners fan, that's what I'm hoping for, but the way this year is going, anything could happen between now and the conference championships.

When I look at it objectively, my Sooners have a lot of "chinks in the armor". This really is a rebuilding year, so if we should somehow hang on, win out, and make it to the BCS Championship game, my expectations at the beginning of the season will have been exceeded.

Besides that, an LSU/Oklahoma match-up would be an event because there is absolutely NO love between Les Miles and Bob Stoops! They hate each other's guts!

          LSU vs. Oklahoma.

Will be a good National Championship game.

Too much football yet to be played even this late in the season, not to mention how crazy this season has been to even guess who will end up in the national championship game.

I can see an LSU/Oklahoma matchup. That would be a great game.
It was like that when I got here.

Lsu better do it this season, cause their whole coaching staff is most likely outta there.

I, for one, certainly wouldn't discount KU's chances. (Or Mizzou for that matter. That is going to be one heck of a game!)

I certainly hope for the sake of LSU that scenario doesn't play out.

Not that LSU couldn't get a top-flight coach to replace Miles, but Miles has a precedent of screwing his employers on the way out the door when there is no reason to do so.

Imagine that he would stop returning phone calls to top recruits and then announce that he was leaving LSU right before the team takes the field for the Sugar Bowl.

Everyone in the top 6 lose (i think all to unranked opponents except WV v. Cinn(22)) and OSU destroys MI in MI. OSU is number 1.

Hey, it could happen (1 down already)

Maybe next year we could have the Kansas schedule. - I assume MO. will beat them anyway. Then they can join Appalachian State.

It could happen, Brue and it wouldn't be unprecedented. Read the story of the 1975 Sooners. They lost to Kansas with only two games left in the regular season, but because everyone else lost and they won out, they wound up being National Champs.

Now, that was before the BCS where #1 and #2 face off, winner take all, but when everyone above you loses, anything can happen.

If LSU wins out, they will play the Big 12 champ for the BCS championship. If not, maybe Arizona St or Ohio St sneek in to play the Big 12 champ.

If Kansas goes unbeaten, they deserve to be in the game. I just don't think it's going to happen. There is still alot of football to be played, and the way this season has gone, I'm not counting any of the one loss teams out.
