I was hoping to go this year, but things didn't work out. Hopefully next year I can make it.

Am I the only one who is really depressed about not being at MM?

I could have gone if I really wanted to. I wasn't aware there was going to be so many customizable parts because, honestly, this is kept really, really vague until the aftermath. In some of the photo uploads, it's apparent a lot of stuff has been mass produced that are not available/aware to the general population. Even when you look at the past MM stuff on the official page, it looks more like a swap meet than custom resource.
On one hand, I get it - trademark infringement, cease-n-desist, etc... - but on the other, I dunno.Last edited by hedrap; Jun 13, '10, 9:05 AM.Comment

I want to go, but Len intimated he'd beat me up if I showed because Bill spent a whole day antagonizing him and it was ascribed to me. I've lived in fear ever since."If you take a dog which is starving and feed him and make him prosperous, that dog will not bite you. This is the primary difference between a dog and a man."

I'm not really sad, b/c I can't go. But I do wish our West Coasters could all get together someday."Do you believe, you believe in magic?
'Cos I believe, I believe that I do,
Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."Comment

Let's do it! West Coast Mego Meet. I'd love to have one out here. And not in southern California. Too much happens down there already. Same with Seattle. Portland would be perfect. Oregon would be the cheapest to have it in on this coastline. No sales tax. And there's an airport in Portland. Oregon gets NO good conventions for comics or toys or sci-fi or horror. Nothing. So here would be great. Seriously!Comment

yeah going all the way to West Verginia from our neck of the woods would be kinda crazy.the Pacific Northwest and Northern California members should start their own Meet plus im not an East Coast kinda guyLast edited by kennermike; Jun 13, '10, 12:33 PM.Comment

Yes, I can make it happen with enough interest in Seattle but Portland makes sense because of the not tax deal and I can arrange to have something together since we frequent Portland a lot and my domestic partner's parent live down and her family has connections there for a place.
Again, only can happen if enough interest.
My friend mentioned where he owns a condo they have small hall he can utilize and is willing to rent it out for a couple of days. It's over on the eastside of Seattle. Kirkland.Comment

Sounds like you're a man w/ a plan, Lonnie. I nominate YOU to start the ball rolling for us West Coasters next year!"Do you believe, you believe in magic?
