Am I the only one who is really depressed about not being at MM?

I hear ya, Sammy... But for me, it's more about hanging out with everyone and putting faces to some of the people here. The interaction and being with other people. I live kind of a solitary life... The seagulls and sand crabs are awesome, but they're not much for good conversation.

Every year I feel kinda bummed when I hear all the stories and see all the pics.

I almost made it one time...I had reserved my Motel 8 room...but I canceled two weeks before the Meet (personal reasons).

I'd really like to go someday...the only thing holding me back is that hot and humid weather...I just don't dig that...I'm from the cool and breezy Bay Area...lol.

Anything above 72 degrees...and I'm sweating like a hog...




Having said that...it's 88 degrees here in Oakland...but I get that cool Pacific Ocean breeze.

I hear ya on the humidity. I'm from Buffalo so I know humidity. Plus I've also been to Florida and the East coast of Mexico...

I went the first four years, then skipped last year because, honestly, I was a little burned out. I'd intended to do this year, though, but financially couldn't swing it, and I've been missing it all weekend. :(

I can tolerate dry heat more like in your part of the world (Arizona)...desert heat is not as hellish as tropical heat...I've been in the south of Mexico...Chiapas...near Central America...during the Summer...and that stuff was unbearable...top that with constant mosquitoes at night...and let me tell ya...I felt like crying...

I can tell you that while the toys are always cool, Mego Meet is about hanging out and just talking . . . . We're sitting in the Mego Suite right now and it doesn't get much better!

Yeah, I have wanted to go for the last few years. Usually, it lands on my Son's birthday (he just turned five, so I can't justify bringing him, yet). This year, being a week later, I thought it would be an option, but my work required some weekend hours. Looking towards 2011

Oh, and Hec, if you live where there is lots of humidity, you don't have to iron your shirts, walk outside for a few minutes and the wrinkles are gone
