I like Batman 89 more for the experience back in the day than as a stand-alone Batman film.

Batman Begins & Dark Knight >>>>>> Burton's Bat flicks.

Eh? but Bruce is buffed in the comics? The negative reaction against Keaton was Okay he can act but He was not Buffed to play the part....
Let me clarify a bit: Although Batman is usually drawn as overly muscular in the comics, that doesn't translate too well on the screen, or to the ability that he could be able to pull of the acrobatic work he needs too. Bale (as Batman) is muscular but lean, like Neal Adams' interpretation, which strikes a great balance between the monstorously huge comic Batman (as portrayed in Dead End) and Michael Keaton's girly arms.

In other words, Bale is just buff enough for Batman, but I think maybe Clark Batram was a little TOO buff, but it was cool to see.

I liked the Batman films with Keaton in they are like more comic strip but the new ones with Bale are like more grown up and are cool.

...and Nicholson's Joker looks like Rachel Ray, Laura Bush, Delta Burke, and Cameron Diaz...COMBINED......

I'd take the Ledger Joker comparison with Beetlejuice anyday...

While I do LOVE this Comic version of the Joker...Heath proved himself. That said...I always thought Adrian Brody would be a PERFECT match for the Comic Book Joker.
