yep, I see what you mean now. I was looking more at the second pic that looks to be a forced perspective sort of thing.

btw: the Lion Rock mod I did was only the LR legs to shorten up the figure. It is still the eMCe torso/arms/head. I shaved up a ctvt pelvis to work with the LR legs.

Thanks so much for the kind words, much appreciated. And Bones, getting thanks like that really does mean a lot, and makes some of the many headaches all worth it. To answer your question, and not to skirt any detailed answers, but it really IS all going to depend on pre orders. Right now, Wave 1 we're calling a 'success', and fully plan on getting to Scaroth and the gang. But that isn't a confirmation yet on it absolutely happening. We're pretty confident, but the almighty pre order is always the best way to make it happen, if folks really want these to continue. We certainly have plans for more waves, with more Doctors, villains and companions, along with some expected (and UNexpected) variants. We're also already making some super cool plans for the 50th Anniversary, so between the BBC being diligent and the fans supporting it all, we're doing our damndest to make them come to life. And THIS Who fan remembers how exciting the 20th Anniversary was. Feel. So. Old....

      Thanks again guys!

Oh, and lastly, to address it here, we really are on the fence about rooted hair for the female figures. Sometimes it works, sometimes it looks great, and sometimes I think it just looks silly. A tricky thing to get right. So it's still being decided on, but it'd be a shame if anyone decides NOT to get a figure in a line they love because of that detail, but everyone has their pet peeves, so we understand!
Hey, thanks for taking the time to respond. I plan on preording next year's offerings soon and I hope others here will, too. Thanks again for all you do.

You're welcome, Bones! Just a quick, personal note about all things WHO. I'm headed over to London again this month for a bit, and am wondering if I'm going to see our WHO stuff on any of the shelves. It will literally be a strange, SMALL world if that happens, thinking of over 30 years ago when I first visited the UK and scoured the shops for ANYTHING WHO related, going home sad and disappointed. I like to think we're helping to correct a wrong from my childhood, all those years ago. After a while, this starts to read like a Moffatt penned WHO story: boy send message to his future self about toys he wants, they get made, and in an alternate universe that kid goes over for a visit and they're everywhere! That's it, I'm sending the treatment in to the BBC!

Hey all! I just joined the forum to sing the praises of these figures! The whole Mego thing was before my time, but as a Star Trek fan I was drawn to those Mego figures when I first saw them. I never took the plunge on those or the new retro versions. And even though I've been tempted before, the DW figures were the first I tried.

Let me start by saying, I was VERY skeptical of these from the first pictures I saw. But I'm SO glad I gave them a shot. They are insanely well done for the price point. I'm really loving the solid quality of these figures and they've been a blast to have in my collection. I took pictures:

The sculpt of Tom is really lovely but tends to get washed out in very flat lighting.

The scarf is very nicely done. I wish I could make it work around his neck a BIT better without making him look bundled up for winter, but the material is surprisingly supple and malleable for the scale so it sits well overall with some tweaking and posing.

Silly me - I almost skipped the Sontaran! The first thing I was impressed by was the material selection for the outfit. It's got a wonderful texture and they do some really brilliant things with construction here.

If I had one complaint, it's that the paint is a WEE bit flat on the Sontaran. I'd like a bit more pop and for it to be less uniform. But the sculpt is great.

After getting these, I decided to get the Master and Cyber Leader. Two figures I was VERY skeptical of. I'm not terribly fond of this Master design, and the connection of the Cyberman head seemed a bit odd in promo pics.

The Master features a wire frame in his hood so you can shape it. A little tweaking and pulling really helps define the shape of it and makes the figure really pop. The head sculpt and paint is really nice and menacing. Also, his accessory is very cool. It's been forever since I've seen the episode so I'm not sure what it even is!

Some pictures (my picture-taking space was too messy when I got these figures... so had to shoot in the living room.):

                  Watch out Doctor!

The Master went from being my least-favorite figure to a favorite. Again, material selection is great here. And the wire frame in the hood makes ALL the difference.

Watch out again Doctor! (I stuffed the shoulders with some plastic packing material to puff them up and match the head piece better... it doe look a bit odd right out of the box.)

The Cyberman attacks! I'm very happy with this guy with the extra bit of padding. The tubing is very nicely done, though it's glued in the back. Even though there is a velcro strip on the back... so you can't really open it up. So I had to get creative and use the include Cybermat as a stuffing tool to get the plastic stuffing into the shoulders!

                  The Villains plot...

                  The Gang's All Here...
