Wave 4 Pictures!

I'm hoping that these are just preproduction heads and mattel will redo them.
Everything is hit and miss, but Mattel usually seems to have the money to throw at retooling a head and not leave me crying like I do everytimne I see the upcoming Capt Pike head.

At least the figures will have good outfits for customizing.

I've been disappointed with the bodies... non-plussed with the "re-released
characters" but thrilled with "Mego newbies". Happy to see MARTIAN
MANHUNTER & DARKSEID added to this line!

(I'll keep with a "flat yellow" instead of "gold" schemed BLACK ADAM... but
ADAM looks good anyways I'd say!)

And, yeah, the "skin suits" are a must...thank you Mattel for making them....
if a customer doesn't like 'em... s/he can remove 'em!

They're OK --

Darkseid's interesting but the jury's still out on the padded suit.

MM looks Mego-y

CM has a great suit, but the head's got to go. They seemed to be going for a Fawcett, look on the head, but I think they missed wide

Black Adam has a nice suit, but I see a Sub-Mariner custom in that head's future . . .

Yeah I was thinking the same thing about the gold elements... Not very Mego-like however I think if the company went on to continue the WGSH line eventually it would have introduced those kinds of fabrics/materials...?

They look OK to me to. Just OK though. I am not overly excited about Wave 4. I still like Wave 3 much better, but that is just my two cents.

Everything looks pretty good for protos to me, but Shazam. imho he looks ridiculous.

Not a big fan of Darkseid's oven mitt/titan gloves and wish Manhunters belt & chest straps were plastic but everything else is fine with me.

I'm looking forward to this wave. I bet the finished product will look beter than the prototypes. So far, I have only bought a few of the new figures. This wave I might buy all four. I prefer to buy figures that Mego never made and this series has three Mego never made.

They are getting worse on each wave. What's up with Shazam and the stupid grin. Can't Mattel just try to make a decent Figure. These don't look retro that look like bad knock offs that you see on Canel street Chinatown. Ford made a retro Mustang and is beautiful. And Dodge made a retro Challenger (my favorite car) and these were retro looking. Why can't Mattel put some effort into these figures

Can't wait for these. Shazam looks a little goofy and I hope Darkseid's stuffing allows us to body-swap to a Hulk or Zica body.

I am not really excited for this wave other than MM. However, I will get them all, and I want to re-body them all. Darkseid needs a large body. The others need a Zica body. (I hope Zica gets some more bodies by the time these come out!)

I like MM the best out of this bunch. The green flesh-colored suit does add to the retro feel here - taking us back to Tarzan. Not crazy about Black Adam's head sculpt. Shazam's outfit looks pretty solid - but I would want to see the final product before pulling the trigger on either of those figures.

I can't say I'm really impressed by any of these as whole figures. The suits on Captain Marvel and Black Adam are well done. I like that CM has that little overlay thing on his outfit. I think both heads could be improved - I'd really like to see CM with his eyes just drawn as lines, as if he's squinting. Martian Manhunter and Darkseid are ok, but I'm not sold on the stuffed body for Darkseid. I'm another one who'd like to see him looking more Kirby-esque.
