Ah, I see how it is. Well, that's ok, you can make mine a Pepsi. Actually, make that Diet Pepsi.
No, scratch that, Mountain Dew. That stuff is delicious!

Didn't one of the Mego Spidey/Peter Parker have red hands back in the day. I think I read something about that in an old Collecting Toys magazine.Leave a comment:

That is true!...if, /IF/, I had one complaint about the Batman it would be that it doesnt have removable gloves. But that still aint enough to make me dislike these figures.
I am not intending to upset anyone here. If I was buying these solely for myself to display I might be upset with some of the final look of the figure, but I just wanted to voice what will happen at my house: I'll find a Batman and my kids will play with it happy that they have their own Batman who can take his mask off. My only disappointment would be that even without the mask, his hands would still be blue, but that is my disappointment. I doubt my kids will care.
By the way I looked at TRU yesterday and just a Luthor and Sinestro were on the shelf. So no early birds, yet.Leave a comment:

Yes they are different and Batman is wearing a " thong " in the carded pic. But are /we/ worried about this one particuler Batman figure or whether the whole run of Batman figures will have the bikini?
To think the whole run of Batman figures will have this /illusion/ is a little absurd. If they did, I'd admit I was wrong and would be kinda upset. That rarely happens.

Sorry, I did "THINK" about it and, no offense, but there is no way these are the same pair of briefs on these two figures...no way...the belt isn't that thick to make that much of a difference. As far as the his-legs-are-spread theory...looking at the prototype and the final product next to each other, I fail to see what that has to do with anything.
These are clearly different figures...no "illusion" here...Batman has bikini briefs on.Leave a comment:

No worries on the Batman issue. I'm thinking Doc's repro shorts ($3) should make the suit more accurate. You could even get blue shorts and shade them black so they look even more like the comic.Leave a comment:

Looking at the pic i have to agree with LOU. It appears to me that they took the prototype and pulled and hemmed it too tight in the back IMO. but yeah these are two different suits.http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x...tmanshorts.jpg

Good grief, my point was that the shorts do not look like the picture at the beginning of the thread, that's it. The picture at the beginning of the thread has a couple of issues that make it appear that the shorts are different, but if you THINK about it just a little bit you can see that its merely an illusion of difference. The legs being spread apart and the belt slid down too low, that's what all the hubbub is about. They are not giving Batman bikini briefs.

In that case, Aquaman is looking a little hippy as well, but I actually think it works on him. His tights might just be pulled up, but I'm not seeing any bunching. Even Aquaman doesn't appear to have the same tight length as Superman does.Leave a comment:

As I'm hoping to use the Costume, Hands, and Belt for customizing.
