This wave 2 Mattel's Retro-Action case of 8 figures contain the following (subject to change):
    3x Batman
    1x Two Face
    2x Aquaman
    1x Black Manta
    1x Superman

Not only will Batman not be short packed, but he'll be the Lead Pack. All of the villians are short packed though. It's also not suprising that they are packing in a Superman as well.

What's up with the Supes in the case?

No matter how much some may complaint about it, the RM Batman looks great and will sell to depletion... Its actually the only one I dare to bet it will!

I don't care how Batman looks I'm buying him I have an extra Mego removable cowl that will be getting a home on his head. Aquaman looks awesome can't wait to get him. Manta is a must have but two face is a pass for me....

It seems his removable cowl is considered an accessory.

So will we get any other accessories in this wave? I was glad to see them in wave 1 and Aquaman's trident is a welcome addition. I still wish that Two-Face came with a gun or a coin. And what about Batman? No batarang or even a bat-rope? Either accessory would look great on this figure.

Two Face looks PERFECT, the headsculpt and suit look fantastic at the 8 inch sacle. In fact the suit looks even better than the DC Direct 13 inch Two Face they made not too long ago. Color choices are A+ Score 10 0ut of 10

Black Manta looks PERFECT as well, cool idea to have the backpack placed in the package with attachable air hoses to get it to fit. Score 10 out of 10

Aquaman looks Great, The color choice and printed scales are perfect. He even has his Trident - Thanks for including it. I am curious how the belt was done. It looks to be one piece vinyl with a "stamped impression" of the A on it? If so then this is a great improvement over the original sticker Mego version. As a kid I had the Original Aquaman vs. Great White Shark set that I used to play with in the pool and that A disappeared after the first use. The headsculpt is kind of soft, he looks rather youthful in his appearance. Not bad, at least he isn't smiling. score 9.5 out of 10 due to the youthful headsculpt.

Batman looks OK. I am curious who picked the color choices here. The blue is a bit too Dark and the Grey is a bit too light. The yellow is nice and vibrant though and looks good.

I like the removable Cowl! I can't see how it could have possibly been made any better. It is an improvement over the original Mego, and the Black paint with white eyes and Blue eyebrows really makes it work. Compare it to the 9 inch scale Hasbro Removable Cowl Batman and you see that the new Mattel Cowl is much better in terms of appearance and fit. It also reminds me very much of the classic Ideal Batman helmet made for kids to wear. Thanks for packaging Batman with the cowl ON his head - it looks better this way. For some strange reason the Hasbro DC 9 inch one in package really irks me every time I see it on my shelf.

From the picture it looks as if Batman is wearing a thong, however it could be due to the bow legged spread leg positioning to get him to fit in the bubble with the cowl on. If they are using the same generic superhero costume pattern for all of the male bodysuits with trunks then I doubt the the figure's shorts will look like this out of the package. I also hope the Belt is removable. Wish he came with a Batarang though. Score 8 out of 10. (possibly a lot higher if once opened the trunks look alright)

Notes about the body - I don't like the floppy waist and the inability to pose the figure in a standing kicking pose. The original Megos are superior in this respect.

However, I really like the figures from the waist up. Swivel biceps would be an added plus though.

I am fully expecting to NEVER actually see the Batman hanging on the pegs at Toys R Us. Collectors will snatch him up the moment he goes on sale. I hope eventually there will be a "Refresher case" available for Toys r Us that will include new packs of Batman & Superman so that kids can have a fair shot of finding these great figures.

I've already got my cases on preorder from BBTS.
Definitely the best and most realistic analysis read so far on this wave. And yeah, The RM Batman cowl doesn't get any better than that! Great looking figure!

I think Aquaman's and Batman's trunks are the same, the difference being that Aquaman's feet are together and Batman's are apart giving an illusion of difference. I mean really the clothing pattern for Aquaman, Batman and Superman are probably all the same, just different color cloth.

The cowl, making a removable cowl that looks sleek is just not possible with these materials in this size. I think it looks good considering the physical restrictions and boundaries they have to work with.
