    Paul,
    Any reason they opted for black shorts instead of blue? I always hated the fact Mego Bats had black shorts. Drove me nuts as a kid.

    I have to agree with Audiorij regaurding the Batman " thong". I bet this is one out of thousands that will look like bikini briefs. I thinks its all in the pose,the belt and the way this partiuler Bat-suit was sewn. I am really curious as to why people think all the Batman retro figures will have this same look (shorts).

    Possibly, but I don't think so. If Batman is anything like Superman then his tights are sewed in place and the actual tights are not sewed on top of the rest of the pants, but instead are a continuation of the pants. There really is no way to "bunch up" Superman's tights to that extreme, so I'm afraid it's unlikely that we can blame bunching for Batman's bikini bottoms.

    Good grief, my point was that the shorts do not look like the picture at the beginning of the thread, that's it. The picture at the beginning of the thread has a couple of issues that make it appear that the shorts are different, but if you THINK about it just a little bit you can see that its merely an illusion of difference. The legs being spread apart and the belt slid down too low, that's what all the hubbub is about. They are not giving Batman bikini briefs.

    Much better! And the cape is perfect!

    Anyone feel the need to purchase two sets, one for collecting and one to open?

    Batman, the shorts looking like a bikini is an illusion because of two things;

    1. His legs being spread apart opposed to Aquaman who's legs are together.

    2. The Belt is slid down lower than his waist which adds to the bikini look and makes his torso look 'too long.'

    Look at the pictures from Big Bad Toy Store;

    The bikini thing is just an illusion because of the way the figure pictured is standing and how his costume and belt is misaligned.

    I will get them all but…..

    I don’t like the pink card, oversized looking boots and arm bands or the same bowlegged look as wave 1. I feel they all have muscular legs and yet flat upper body’s lacking density issues that should have been addressed before the release of wave 2

    Now my pros and cons on each piece.

    I think Two Face is awesome! Great head sculpt paints and wardrobe design, I would have loved to see a replacement hand with a coin attached but otherwise it’s spot on!

    Besides my initial mentioned problems (boots, legs etc.) Mantra looks great also; I think a thicker belt would have worked better but otherwise very happy with the final piece.

    The only problem I have with Aquaman is his boyish non chiseled head sculpt, otherwise it’s awesome.

    Batman who should be the best of the four falls way short, the bikini look as others have mentioned really hurt the figures appearance as well as the thin utility belt, It also appears Batman’s torso is to long compared to where his chest starts. I actually like the removable cowl, the paints work fine, not sure what others see wrong with the cape I think it looks good and probably better when open.

    Just glad after so many years we have these figures available again, I hope the kids take to them as well as the collectors…..

    Big thanks to all involved!
