Mattel wouldn't place ads.. and I don't think it's a huge profit margin product for TRU to spend ad money on.

    g.
When Hasbro made their deal with Marvel to allow them access to virtually any Marvel character they seem to have made an arrangement to run ads in comics and tie in deals with the Marvel website. If DC were trying to compete they could have worked out something similar to Marvel/Hasbro. You're probably right that there isn't a huge profit margin in ads on TV but in comics it makes perfect sense. Not many kids read comics anymore but a lot of men the age that may have played with a Mego or two do and I bet they would be interested in getting their hands on some WGSH. I just want to see this line do well enough that we get to see a good amount of characters produced, especially ones that never were.

Long Island is now stocked with WGSHs. I am in the flagship TRU in Manhattan
on Friday and they had at least a dozen cases on the shelves - but all the
Supermans were gone, as well as all but two Green Lanterns.

Friday morning the Huntington TRU had a case and a half - I will post pics of
me and the kids there. Saturday afternoon the Massapequa TRU had the
remainder of 4-5 cases - no Supes and only a few GLs left.

        a dozen cases??!!???
        wow.

And all the Supes are gone.
        double wow.
I can guess who will be a repack if Mattel changes up the case assortment from 2x all figures.

If he gets shuffled into the new assts, is Superman (or any other hypothetical repack) always going to be on a yellow card, or will the card color change to go with the new case assortment?

I drove 84 miles yesterday to get GL. They held him til past close. I had asked about Sinestro but they didn't confirm they had him. When I got there, I learned they had Sinestro, they let me in about 2mins after closing, the manager took me to the pegs and I went ahead and bought 2 Sinestros, GL and 1 Luthor. I left them with 1 Luthor.

I found out they get cases of 6 figures. They are mixed. They could be 6 Luthors. They sell out of Superman quickly or they don't get many, not sure which.

I have a great testimonial for Ben, the store Manager at Toys R Us in Killeen, TX though. What a guy. But he was rewarded. I went up there to spend $22 and I spent $88.

Good lord. I have to buy my Dida Display before I think of spending another dime on anything else. But that is another story and I think I'm rambling...

I may post pix and more info later.

^^ It looked like my TRU got one case of 8, 2 sets of four.

I finally got to TRU last week. (I totally forgot these figures were out till checking in at the museum.) 2 pegs shelf displayed. I got the last supes and the last 2 Green Lanterns. I got 2 of the other figures also and there were a couple Luthors and Sinestro's remaining after my purchase. Not alot of shelf space was dedicated to these. I might try again for a second Superman.
Did the Green Arrows make it to the TRU or was that just a web exclusive.

Pretty sure (100%) they come 8 to a case, 2 of each fig per case. Supes without a doubt sells the quickest (and most).
