I like the Hero/Villian combos of the first wave with a reissue hero and new hero each. that's a very good marketing style, it gets us our old figures remade and new ones out at the same time with generally 2 to 3 new characters each release due to the lack of villians originally. The Superfriends/JLA hero with villian is a good way to go as well, but throw in Titans(full Size), JSA, Legion, Doom Patrol and Outsiders as you go.
wave 2 should be:
Batman/Joker
Flash/Captain Cold
Exclusive- Nightwing
I like the way you think...luv your second wave choice....really like the exclusive idea...mmmm Nightwing!!
batman - adams /aparo style (the new look batman is the b & b look and I have wanted a proper scale 70's accurate bats since mego was still around)
Robin - corrected college age DG look
Joker - 70's 80's style like mego but a better outfit contstructed like the wizard of oz's and maybe a leaner face
Flash - 70's barry allen
Oliver Queen, Hal Jordan, Bruce Wayne, Dick Grayson, etc.
Oh yeah!
A re-issue of Zorro and Isis.
I know that some folks don't consider her to be a real superhero, but I loved the show as a kid (I wanted to have her hair REAL bad), and I never even knew that Mego had made a doll of her until recently.
For Zorro, give him a more drapable cape, more flexible hands or better yet, interchangable hands, and of course, his Secret Identity of Don Diego de la Vega of Old Los Angeles.
Maybe The Three Musketeers would be a good idea, along with D'Artagnan.
Cyrano de Bergerac?
Captain Blood?
A better version of Robin Hood, the Merry Men, and the Super Knights, along with Ivanhoe?
Of course, we need a better Dracula, Wolfman, and Frankenstein too.
You know, of all the characters I wanted as kid (GL, Flash, Luthor, etc...),
The one figure I wanted more than any other was Hawkman.
I would love to see a Hawkman come out of this line. A nice gray plastic mace to go with the figure. I have to believe the wings are a challenge, but I leave that to the experts. He is the type of figure you could see a removable mask/cowl really working on too.
I know this would be a looooong shot, but Golden Age Green Lantern.
On the more feasable end, any Legion of Super Heroes. After all, they did do a cartoon, and they do remain pretty popular. Would love to have a Lightning Lad or Timber Wolf.
Here's what I want to buy... (all are based on the Silver Age incarnations unless noted otherwise)
...heroes...
GREEN LANTERN
GOLDEN-AGE GREEN LANTERN
FLASH
GOLDEN-AGE FLASH
AQUAMAN
ATOM (8" would actually be "life size"!)
HAWKMAN (probably too cost-prohibitive)
...villains...
SINESTRO
CAPTAIN COLD
MR FREEZE
REVERSE-FLASH
BLACK MANTA
I'm sure we're more likely to see a wide array of villains than see obscure heroes produced. That said, I'd also like to see the Doom Patrol.
