The news breaks on a Friday afternoon and we're already wish listing? Oh brother! The wait for Easter just got a whole lot longer!!!

I hope they get the Marvel license and do the same thing...

I think we need to keep our expectations in check. First, this is a MATTEL announcement. Mattel has the DC license. The only WGSH figures Mattel will be producing are DC characters.

IF there are going to be any Mego-like figures of Marvel characters, that will have to be an announcement from another company, such as Hasbro or Diamond. Yeah, I know it stinks, and I'm bummed out about this too. But times are different, and the days when one toy company could hold both the Marvel and DC licenses are looooong gone. So, the only thing us Marvel fans can do is wait, and hope that these Mattel figures sell well enough to make Hasbro or Diamond sit up and take notice.

In the mean time, put me down for a Barry Allen Flash!

I myself would not have females or smaller sized figure listed until we get word from Mattel saying they have such bodies. Same with larger figures. I mean I would love to see Grundy done like this but until we hear from Mattel,I'll keep him off. I'd like to see some Golden Age stuff somewhere done the line.

Sadly, Lonnie, Agatha Harkness is all Marvel, and chances are highly unlikely Hasbro will let Mattel make that smokin' hot septuagenarian.

But all is not lost! Ma Kent is definitely a DC property, and should be a prime candidate for inclusion in the new WGSH line! She sews Superman's suits! She made sure he grew up big and strong (give her a rhubarb pie accessory!)! She helped him with his homework, kissed his boo-boos, showed him love, taught him to be a kind, decent, compassionate, loving and all around GOOD human being (despite being from Krypton). Now THAT'S a hero!

Plus, in deference to you Lonnie, she can rock an apron like nobody's business. Yeah, I went there.

I am so excited about these and want to THANK Paul and Joe for all they have done to bring these back . Sorry about getting into foray late, I have had limited computer access. I got the news a lot later than everyone else so I have not been able to get into the conversations ( Been in Hospital .... chest pains, and still feeling blah and need more tests, but that's a story for another time ) Anyways I am happy with whatever does get made and promise to buy them faithfully. I was just thinking the same thing on Captain Marvel.I'm sure if he's made that'll definitely be one of the upgrades.Hopefully a new cape and the correct boots also.

There's quite a bit of potential for the Green Lantern figure if they produce alternate heads.
