It's good news, but probably too late for the Mattel 6" line, which is the line I really want a Batgirl in. Hopefully I am wrong.

I wonder if this announcement would get Mattel to consider a wave 4?

Cracked open Batman, Robin, Joker, Riddler, and the Batmobile. This line is worth every penny they are overcharging, IMO.

Mattel says this line is cancelled, but once they see sales figures, they may change their minds.

I hope they do longer stories like this. That was really cool! Also great to see MEGO Spock made an appearance in it.

Mattel apparently is not done with the '66 line:

                  Glad to hear it!

Sales speak louder than anything. Glad to hear that too. It would be cool to see a Batgirl, Mr. Freeze, King Tut, and Mad Hatter.

It wasn't the fan boys that jumped the gun...It was Mattel's Scott Toyguru Neitlich who said the line was done after the initial set of figures...he said it in QnA and on a video

My friend sent me pics of surf up joker from nycc. It's an easy custom, but it does mean more figures to come! The lady at the booth said More figures next fall.....at least according to my friend.

"...Classic TV 66 Batman stuff was selling very well for them and they were confused why so many collectors thought the line was ending after Catwoman ships in a few weeks..."
Somebody should let that Mattel rep know the answer is "Internet whisper-down-the-lane" + "Nerd Rage" = "False conclusions"

I really WAS scratching my head at the reaction of toy collectors in light of the one Mattel rep's offhanded comment about "no current plans" or whatever was said. He never said the line was being cancelled, but a thousand nerd voices arose in a wail of despair anyways.

Really? I'm curious to see this stuff you speak of. As you see from what I wrote, I too was under the impression that consumers jumped the gun.

Well, while the word "cancelled' was never used, it's never a good idea to say "we have no further plans" about ANYTHING that you plan on continuing. A simple "we have lots of great ideas, come back later" would have sufficed. Not to overly bash Mattel, but they caused the problem here, and then AFI reported it as they said it.
