Isn't Arnie Kim rumoured to be sculpting the Hot Toys C. Reeves Superman?

Anybody see this superman sculpt by Erick Sosa?

Okay, I'm more than happy to admit that the sculpt above NAILS Reeve's hard to capture likeness, and if the Hot Toys sculpt looks like that, I'll happily part with a fairly large chunk of money for it.

That being said, I still like my Mattel figure. For the price point, it's very well done.

Nicely done Ray. No. I would not lower the eye brows any further. I think the way you have them arched is perfect for his facial expression. The problem with the factory version was they had virtually no arch (flat-liners, as I call them). I also like the fact you made his top eye lids thicker, thereby alleviating that "stoned" look in his eyes. With your paint, he now appears to be serious and have the proper look. With THAT paint job I would have bought it. What kind of acrylic paint did you use? Did you have to do a lot of mixing to match his existing skin tone or did you redo the whole face? It looks very good!

Thanks for the advice MIB41!!! Really do appreciate it my friend,..as I had my doubts. I just used simple acrylic paints for eyes, eyebrows and lips and sealed with acrylic matte paint, except for the eyes which are glossy,...didnt touch the face color though,....and had to make a thin line for the eye lids, as the head has it to smoothed out, and painted his eyes in lighter shades of blue.

Yup! Ray is extremely talented! Had done a couple of paint works for some of my custom figures! That Christopher Reeve face now looks perfect!

That's really nice Ray, I love what you have done with him. I will ask Laurie for advice on the sealer and get back to you.
