The sculpt looks to be way off to me too. Being a complete Superman Dork I'd like to have one but not if the Hot Toys one is going to be more authentic.

The packaging is nice and the suit looks good, but this is just one of those things where the toy is made or broken on the quality of the head sculpt. It's a shame that Mattel doesn't seem to care to strive for the kind of quality we get with Hot Toys. And for those who would argue that Hot Toys is a $200 doll, I'd point you to Zica, who has nowhere near the resources Mattel has yet has managed some incredibly impressive sculpts at a $35 price point.Comment

It looks Nothing Like Reeves. The Boots are Hidious. If your gonna market a character after a particular likeness, then that figure better Damn Well look as Such, When you promote a Figure with that persons Name or Idea. Thats Where the Ball is Dropped. If this was just Superman ...., I still couldn't Buy it at that Price.... The Original Knight ..., Often Imitated, However Never Duplicated. The 1st Knight in Customs.

In this sculpt, which I think is better, the artist nailed it via the muscles & tendons which give Chris's face it's shape and identity. You can see the layers were built up one on top the other. I'd say this was %85-%90 Chris compared to the other.
This one, not so much:

It depends on the skill of the sculptor. They may have hired the wrong person to sculpt this. I have dabbled in sculpting and I can tell you young people & women's faces are really hard to sculpt because they don't have all the lines older people have to use as reference. Chris Reeve had a very smooth face and it's tough to re-create that. I tried sculpting Dirk Bennedicts face and it just wouldn't come together. He has no wrinkles and it's hard to re-create his face in sculpey. A better sculptor could nail it no-problem, like maybe Brian's friend Sean.

Not Being Rich, and having barely a pot to **** in this Holiday Season ...It's Horrible for 70 bucks.
Looks like a 12 inch 20 Buck Star Wars Figure to me ..., Which at that Price, Hell I mighta Been there. It's Not Even On Par witha DCD 13incher ..., And Isn't Even Worth it at Half the Price of a Hot Toys Figure, ... It's not Even the Same Sport.
I'd rather pay a little extra knowing full well that Hot Toys will hit a homerun with it and knowing that the articulation on the figure will also be outstanding....cause that bad boy is coming out of that box.....Comment
