My first vintage Mego figure.
I got him for a pretty good deal because the type 1 body he came on was missing a hand, his helmet and shield....
So, I transferred the costume/head to a type 2 body off ebay. Got a helmet from Dr Mego and the Museum's very own PNGwynne helped me obtain the shield.
He is now proudly displayed with my other figures.

I'm sure yours was FAR cheaper than mine. Though mine is minty, even if the box is not.Leave a comment:

I got lucky I bought all 4 from one seller for $50. I think they even had some carded outfits and an extra Farah. Win some lose some I guess. At that point I was only a Trek/Superhero collector so I wasn't thinking how rare/expensive other items would one day be.Leave a comment:

The one Metal Man I had as a kid, gifted to me by my next door neighbor one Christmas. He got a lot of play as "generic robot", both good guy in bad guy, in about every 3.75" toyline going!Leave a comment:

Picked up a Zee Toys/Zylmex loose gold Questar.
As a kid, I loved these figures. Had Radon, Corporal Chrome and Major Mercury. Was able to score a loose Major Mercury about 12 years ago:
