That's a good point--I mean, I liked the show as a kid but discovered the Megoes as an adult and admire them.

As a kid, I wanted (& had) WGSH, Oz, Mad Monsters, POTA, & Knights. The Waltons sure couldn't compete with those!
WANTED: Dick Grayson SI trousers; gray AJ Mustang horse; vintage RC Batman (Bruce Wayne) head; minty Wolfman tights; mint Black Knight sword; minty Launcelot boots; Lion Rock (pale) Dracula & Mummy heads; Lion Rock Franky squared boots; Wayne Foundation blue furniture; Flash Gordon/Ming (10") unbroken holsters; CHiPs gloved arms; POTA T2 tan body; CTVT/vintage Friar Tuck robes, BBP TZ Burgess Meredith glasses.

Lenny and Squiggy don't look too bad, but Laverne and Shirley: good lord!! Didn't I read somewhere (probably here!) that the weird looking sculpts had something to do with the fact that they were originally designed as 8" figures, but were then changed to 12", and something strange happened to their heads in the conversion?

You probably read it here, that's what the original sculptor told me. He was furious that they ruined his work like them, according to him the 8" versions are actually quite cute.

Thanks Brian, I thought so. What can I say, once I get a piece of Laverne and Shirley trivia in my head, it stays there. It's a gift.

You know if you take two solider apes with the net and pole and add a 10,000BC caveman you have the hunt scene from PLANET OF THE APES

They could have dumped all 9' and 12" lines.I remember as a kid they (12)were too big to do anything with except hulk he was cool.
                        Nines I thought why ???

Waltons rocked, you just had to give john boy earps guns and holster and he was ready to go.

Love Boat should have been dumped as well.

What? But - but - all the cool kids were TOTALLY into "Love Boat" toys when I was a kid! Star Wars? BAH!!! Star Trek? Oh, I think not, he said, tongue firmly planted in cheek. Why I used to get HUNDREDS of girlfriends because I was the only kid on my block to have both Issac AND Gopher in my toychest, buddy!

That's how I met my wife... Morgan Fairchild... yeah, that's the ticket!*

*Thank you, Jon Lovitz, and yes, the "Love Boat" line was right up there with the Captain and Tennile in terms of Mego really coming up snake eyes on what the kids wanted back then. Oh, if only somebody would've convinced Mr. Abrams that Star Wars was going to be gangbusters!
"It's sad that governments are chiefed by the double tongues. There is iron in your words of death for all Comanche to see, and so there is iron in your words of life. No signed paper can hold the iron. It must come from men. The words of Ten Bears carries the same iron of life and death. It is good that warriors such as we meet in the struggle of life... or death. It shall be life."

2 words - Waltons Truck. When you look at the rudimentary almost minisized Batmobile we got for wgsh that truck was a lot of tooling and a lot of plastic that could have been placed into anything new for wgsh and probably sold more

You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...
