It was great to see my friend Rob in this episode. I purchased a incomplete Marx Robin Hood Castle playset at his last toy show. -
As a big 80's Joe collector, no the Tomahawk is not worth that much. I paid $200 for mine mint, complete w/
mint box. I'm a member on a G.I.Joe forum and there has been some heavy conversation about this one. Some of the guys were at this show and know the gentleman who supposedly purchased this and said that this deal was all staged for the show. I don't know personally, just been reading posts. I really don't care if it was or not. I still enjoy watching the show.Leave a comment:

Nice to see Mark as the friendly rival again. Fun episode, and some really cool swag in this one.

Lobros is the only carded Alien I don't have, you can get him cheaper but demand outweighs supply on that guy.Leave a comment:

OK, that's cool Jordan, like I said, I'm not exactly an expert on the line.A great condition card certainly helps too. And showing how much of an "expert" I am, I mistakenly called Lobros (the piece you sold) "Lobstros" (a completely different Micronauts toy).

I was actually unsure on the Lobors myself until I started speaking with a few people. One helpful dealer at C2E2 really educated me on the piece. I believe the $800 price tag was good. The card was beautiful, unpunched and straight.
And yes.. Ampzilla is a killer piece, along with Sharkos.Leave a comment:

Micronauts are not my area of expertise, but I didn't think the Lobstros was worth anywhere near that much. Also, not nearly as rare as it was being made out to be. It's not like it's an Ampzilla or Green Baron or something. Am I missing something?Leave a comment:

I'm not a GI Joe guy, but the 1986 Tomahawk he sold at the convention for $1500? Looking at eBay completed auctions, I don't see anything comparable other than a minty set with all pieces still bagged that ended at $300. Why the disparity? An unopened example commands that sort of premium?Leave a comment:

I would have made the same deal that TH did when somebody offered my a Van full of toys. That 5000 should be turned into gold once gone through.
And yes stuff like this happens at Conventions, I used travel the US selling toys and every so often somebody wants to unload a huge amount without doing research and wanting to mess with ebay.Leave a comment:

I always wanted the Rage Cage as a kid. Never got it. I always thought I'd use my Mego Hulk as the before and blown-up Rage Cage as after. It's what I used my Remco Energized Hulk for, since Mego's was kind of tiny.

i also enjoyed the latest installment,i dont care for the rage cage, but it was interesting to see,i saw that as a kid, that was a one trick poney toy.
once it beaks out ,its done.at least with a mego hulk, you have endless hours of fun, which i did as a kid, having him fight the thing.Leave a comment:
