    All the complaining and disappointments could have been avoided COMPLETELY had this line not been hailed as the second coming of Mego or the Mego resurrection.
    All they had to do was say that Mattel was doing a retro-style line inspired by the original Mego WGSH line and be up front that these bodies would not be constructed in any way like the Megos or emce figures with the exception of the 8" scale.
    Instead, many of us got "visions of sugarplums" in our heads and when the end result wasn't Mego; those of us to whom that mattered got a bit upset.
    I'm not sorry for complaining but maybe I did get a little heated once I was pushed.
    I'm looking at these in the same light as any 8" Mego knockoff (or mego-inspired) line and will spend my hard-earned dollars accordingly. If they are nice AND affordable I may spring for a couple but I feel no obligation to purchase these.
