I’m really intrigued to see who they select for the next set of 4, and praying it’s easier to get than the Spidey set was (which I had to buy on the secondary market at an inflated price).

Disney does not care about collectors only sales. Thanks Doc Mego for trying but why were they saying that there was plenty when now they say the sets were under ordered

Oh, yeah I did. I was converting to usd, forgot a number. The worst is waiting… it was sent from California to Illinois, and being sent back to the province above Montana, the agony

I’d gladly pay $75 + shipping; surely you meant $175?

When i was collecting those Disney store exclusive star wars diecast figues. It would typically be a mad scramble to get them, sellout and an eventual restock a few months later.
Hoping that'll be the case here as well.

Well, no-one likes aquatic characters more than I, and he's cool-looking--but I can think of 20 better choices to do first.

Why did it have to be a Spider-Man Wave? I hope we get better distribution, but Spidey and Hul were my non Trek intros to Mego. I bought a set for $75 +shipping, I don’t want to do this for every wave

Maybe Disney underestimated the popularity this 4 set of figures would be? Perhaps they learned a lesson from this and will restock them and make the necessary adjustments on the next wave.

I've seen Paul Clarke state he mentioned to his contact at Disney how disappointed people, including himself, are about this. He is at least bending the ear he knows to make change. The first thing Marty said to me was, "Disney under-ordered this set." He's clearly not wrong.

The figures are really nice. Particularly Electro looking like he could have existed in 1977 or so after Mego released their (in my opinion) better sculpted Mr. Fantastic, Thor, Conan, etc. But I will admit opening them I felt like the whole experience was somewhat diminished by the distribution woes and lot of my fellow Mego fans being he left in the dust. Hopefully this set will become available online again when the next set comes out, and they'll both have larger quantities available for online sales.

I don't mean to make you feel that way at all, and I'm sorry if I did. I thought my post seemed personal, not dismissive.

If Disney doesn't course correct, I'll silently bow out and spend my money on "minty" classic Mego Marvels, which I already have about half of the ones I'd want. I'll continue to support Mego on other releases, I'm just not going to satiate Disney's power trip at the expense of my time & frustration. The'yre just toys, and aren't worth the hassle & disappointment (mine or those around me). Just comparing Mego to Mego experiences, many DC 50th 1st & 2nd wave figures can still be found via online distributors for original retail prices, and even some at discounted rates...two years later. Same can be said for many of the Topps exclusive figures. Two minutes after Wave 1 Marvel figures were released the only options available (so far) are to pay scalper prices, pay personal shoppers to locate them for you, or drive to a Disney Park to get them yourself. For me personally, that is a deal breaking strategy.

This is the first Mego release that I don't feel like celebrating and seemingly can't express frustration about either.
