I just can't believe that a closed, molded umbrella is that much more hazardous than a sword, hammer, or bow, etc. The Comic Action accessories look pretty chokey to me, actually.
The umbrella that Doc offers is a cast from '90s 9" Laurel & Hardy figures, produced when guidelines were surely more stringent than the '70s.
Maybe it's just Cobblepot having the umbrella that makes it dangerous; that was certainly the case in the comics
