        8 inch action figures.
Brand new figures and still 100% Mego, now that would be awesome. Eagerly awaiting that big announcement

Maybe EMCE could sell it's name to a hammer manufacturer

I see children more interested in video games than in action figures (even the new ones like max steel), at least that happens with my two children (13 and 8 years old)
my 8 year old loves the video games, without a doubt. But he also loves the action figures and can't get enough of the EMCE line or whatever vintage or custom figures I get or make for him. Like us when we were kids, he loves the interchangable parts and uniforms and often makes his own customs. He has already put together several Lord of the Rings Characters.

My 13 y.o. just asked me to get him some Apes & AJ megos. He thinks they are absolutely cool.

My take is simple just because "Mego" the Mego we knew and loved and the Emce's are very much retro, Doesn't mean they won't sell main stream. Some are assuming that kids won't play with it because they haven't been playing with them, well, that's mostly because they couldn't get them to play with. No, their not super high tech or overly muscular and the costumes are not outrageous, but the kids I know absolutely do love Emce's and would love "Mego's" as well, whenever my daughter sees a new one or my relatives kid's see them, their excited, because to them these are new figures. Retro costumes, design and all.
It's great Marty has the name back and I'd guess he and Doc Mego have something terrific cooking.
Don't worry about price of originals, Gi joe hasn't been hurt by the 40th anniversary figures even though their not so close, but 40th anniversary action man is about 99 percent accurate to the original and it hasn't hurt
price or collectibility. Just now more people can afford the figure and set they always wanted. A reproduction but very close, so close even lovers of the originals are buying them. let's face it, in this economy affordable, brand new and only a hairs difference to the original is very appealing. People are getting their kids more into the hobby with the same toy they grew up with without having to be nervous they'll break an expensive collectors piece.
Sure original Mego's are and will always be "original Mego's"" they'll always have that special place in our heart. However, I couldn't begin to tell you where the original Mego's I had as kid are. So I've bought some old ones, yet, since they weren't mine as a kid, there's less of a connection, though they do still have a history, a feel, a texture, you know. Emce's, new Mego's or Emce's with Mego packaging and Mego mold marks and called "Mego" would still be cool, very cool in fact. Ok, I'd like to see it happen. I'd think of them as I do Emce as Mego type 3, the next production run, if you will. Maybe they will in fact "be" Mego's very soon.
So I want 'em all, all the ones mom wouldn't give me the money for and all the ones I wanted to see that were never made. Mego 09, Mego 10, If they had stayed in business they might be getting back to doing 8" movable action figures with cloth costumes right about now any way or anniversary figures like Gi joe and Action man have. So Emce is close, Emce with the Mego name and Marty involved is closer. If it say's Mego it will be Mego, maybe not Mego 73, etc., but Mego 09, 10 etc.

I hear Marty plans to use the Company as a springboard for his invasion of Luxemburg and the eventual conquest of Iceland. At least, that is what the goblin who lives under my microwave says.

I'd think Belguim would be a More Successful Conquest.

If Marty and Doc come out with "Mego" marked and packaged 8" action figures, especially WGSH, then they've already got, the U.S, Canada, the UK and Japan conquered! As well as employing major portions of the Chinese toy industry. I think the invasion of the toy aisles across the planet is more their goal. My guess is at a higher volume, prices would go down and the aisles would stay empty. I know I walk in some where like that with a hundred bucks and I'm spending it all! yes, all on MEGO!

We've already been invaded by just about everyone throughout history, but no invasion would give me greater pleasure than Marty and his Megos
