Finally got used to the Captain's voice and not always think of Brian Griffin when I hear it

Oddly, I found TNG unbearable but sprinkle in some poop jokes and relatable characters and I'm a fan.

As "topical" as it was, it wasn't really ground that TNG didn't cover back in the day with Lt. Barclay's holodeck addiction.

In fact, since Barclay's fantasies used his real crewmates, you could argue it was a little more of a prediction of the Deep Fakes sort of stuff that is just now starting to show up...

On the other hand, the Orville had a Moclan licking Isaac's dome.

Btw this ep was shot last season and was intended to be the S1 finale.. but scheduling issues led to it being moved to this slot.

It was a very entertaining start to the new season. A character driven episode like this one works well because I really like the cast.

You know, I had seen previews and thought it was turning serious this season. That fear was completely removed when they revealed this week's plot.
