Yoffett's bit on the episode was a lift right from Jedi when the droids went to Jabba's palace.

The finale music and action were very Star Wars, I'm glad the show is expanding to being shamelessly derivative of something besides Trek

And the Kaylon have worse aim than stormtroopers

^ how'd last night's episode compare to your theory about the previous episode's ending, Lonnie?

I thought it was a solid episode and enjoyed it. My only complaint is that the resolution and ending of these two-part stories always feels kind of rushed when it all gets unpacked in the last 8 minutes of the show. Not a big complaint, mind you, it's that the pacing is kind of noticeably sped up and it takes me out of the story and puts me into critic-mode just a bit.

I have a theory about the ending of the episode. I kind of guessed what was going to happen at the end of the episode, and had a theory before it happened. Cliffhanger ending with big changes coming?

I like it when science-fiction shows a futuristic video game.

It's not as cool as Star Trek III's airplane combat game, but it's fun to represent video games and holograms like that.

I haven't seen that TNG episode in at least 25 years, but that was what I thought of when I realized what the story was going to be. I couldn't remember the TNG episode details well-enough to know how last night's "The Orville" episode compared or contrasted, though. I did enjoy the episode a lot and felt like it was a very satisfying piece of "good ole' Sci-Fi".

one of the things I really like about the show is that they revisit issues that were controversial(for the show). this past episode was a perfect example of it, revisiting the whole gender issue.

I hope this show lasts for a long time, and Mego makes some figures.
